SOURCE: I can't get sound from my speakers on my Sanyo

Most tv's have a way to turn off the speakers. Either a button on the remote, or in the menu. Go into the menu, sound options. See if it says speakers on/off.

SOURCE: I need a schematic for my HK amplifier

Hi all,

Just thought I’d share my experience, I have a 04 cooper with the HK. The radio was still working but the HK settings were lost in the head unit and there was no sound coming out of the speakers so I concluded it was the amp.

I wrote to the Mini UK Customer Services manager, Simon Anderson ([email protected]), citing I believed the problem was inherent and that it should be replaced for free. He denied this and asked for me to take it to my dealer and once diagnosed ask for a goodwill gesture towards fixing it. I did, they diagnosed that it was the Amp and said that would be 700 quid to fix (160 diagnosis fee, 410 for the amp and 90 for fitting plus VAT). I then asked for goodwill and, after fighting to not to have to pay the diagnosis fee because I approached Simon knowing what the problem was, got it for 160 inc vat which was 20% of the price of the amp plus half an hour fitting. I also had to contact their customer service department a bunch because getting through to Simon direct was challenging. The BMW head office number is 01344 426565, ask for him and they will put you through. FYI the goodwill was, in part I was told, based on the fact that I’d had a ‘real’ bmw dealer service my car.

It still annoys me that I had to pay anything as there clearly is a problem but c’est la vie. If anyone has managed to get this for free from BMW I’d be interested to know.

Good luck

Regards

Ben

Does anyone have schematic for audiotrak 500 amplifier?

I don't have access to specific schematics for the Audiotrak 500 amplifier. However, there are a few options you can try to obtain the schematic:
  1. Check the manufacturer's website: The first place to look for a schematic is the manufacturer's website. Most manufacturers provide support documentation, including schematics, for their products on their website.
  2. Contact the manufacturer: You can also try contacting the manufacturer directly and asking if they can provide you with a schematic for the Audiotrak 500 amplifier. They may be able to provide you with the schematic or direct you to a source where you can obtain it.
  3. Search online: You can also try searching for the schematic online using search engines like Google or Bing. Enter the model number of the Audiotrak 500 amplifier along with the term "schematic," and you may find a PDF version of the schematic available for download.
  4. Consult with a professional: If you're not able to obtain the schematic through these methods, you can consult with a professional, such as an electronics repair technician. They may have access to the schematic or be able to assist you in troubleshooting the amplifier without the schematic.
I hope these options are helpful in your search for the schematic for the Audiotrak 500 amplifier.

Speaker are connected but cannot hear music etc, just hear some noises in speakers

If the audio cables are connected properly in the input jacks then the power output circuit must be faulty. If the sound that you get is like crackling bursts of some sort then definitely the power output semiconductors (or ICs in some units) are fried. What type of amplifier is it? Is it a radio amplifier? Does it have surround sound outputs (central/rear speakers)? Make and model would help. Have you tried different input sources?

How too hook surround system to regular tv. Example : a football game. Thanks

Well, since the "regularTV" has no make or model number I will have to guess what outputs it has to suit your surround sound system which also has no make or model number! Using outputs that show left and right speaker channels wire each to the left and right speaker channels of the surround sound amplifier. How many, I don't know!

I have a RZC 298W RCA FM/AM tuner/stereo amplifier that I cant find anywhere. It works ok, except its fuzzy. I'm Just curious about schematics and what year it is. it looks like its at least 40 years old....

You could contact a tv repair shop, many shops have schematics that go back many years. You say the sound is fuzzy, is this fuzzy sound when your playing the radio or when you play something throgh the amplifer? If its fuzzy with any source the you might have a bad speaker or speakers. you need to be more discriptive of the fuzzy sound you describe. also. if this unit has a head phone jack, (which I doubt if its 40 years old). you could plug in some head phone and see if the sound is clear there, if so then you know its most likely the speakers.

I cant get my surround sound to work with my satelite

If your Receiver is generally playing surround sound under normal circumstances, for eg playing radio or CDs and what ever else you may use it for, then it should play anything you have connected to its various inputs in the rear.(look for -Audio in-, you may need RCA plugs which are most common)
If your satellite receiver box has audio out sockets you need to connect this to one of your auxillary inputs on your Receiver. if it doesn't have this, you need to use the audio output from the television to your Receiver.
Providing that you have sound when using you satellite, its a matter of transferring that sound through what ever device you wish to use, eg, Receiver, Amplifier, Headphones.

ONKYO HT-S780 B SPEAKERS

Your symptom sounds as though you may have to turn off any surround sound settings that you have selected in the other modes.

Most amplifiers use the surround portion of the amplifier to power the B channel speakers.

Since you have sound when using the radio portion, I would try turning off the surround mode. For example try turning the amplifier to just stereo and see if that gets the B channel speakers to work

I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue.

Goofyphone not work ??

Sabine:
I had the same problem with mine, that is, when I answered the phone, I couldn't hear any sound coming out of the ear piece.
My problem was solved when I sprayed "Tuner/Control Cleaner and Lubricant", on the button switch that hangs the phone up. This switch is found in the cradle located under the hand set when the phone is not in use. I sprayed the cleaner around the space located around button and worked the button up and down for a minute or so before it started working well.
The Archer brand Tuner/Control cleaner and lubricant I used came from a Radio Shack store here but I don't know if you have Radio Shacks in Germany or not. If not I'm sure you could find a like product in any electronic supply store there.
My phone now works perfectly, hope it works for you too!!!

NO sound and cable signals

Looks like someone sold you a unit only partially working.

You may need to have the main board replaced, which is likely why the previous owner sold it.

My solution would be: Buy an inexpensive surround system and a VCR, Use the VCR as your tuner, and plug the audio output from the VCR into your surround system.

This way you will have a tuner (the VCR), and sound through the surround amplifier. You can also plug the audio output from your DVD player direct into the surround amplifier. This solution would likely run you less than half the cost of replacing the main board in the TV.

Surround sound

It must be about the sound quality need of your amplifier. The sound processor simply needs to get clear signals from sources such as fm/am receiver, dvd/cd players etc. in order to manage'em to give you the optimum surround sound. If the fm receiver has an "FM MUTE" option, I recommend that you turn it on. By doing so, you'll receive only good quality fm stations, furthermore your amplifier will let you get surround sound. The second issue you mentioned has its own answer inside. Use a "new" cd player, you can get optical cables, digital coax cables to improve the performance if you like..
