The motherboard has a 14 pin front header labelled 'LEDH1'. I found a service manual for a similar gateway computer. It lists the connections as: 1:NC 2:GND 3:SB5V 4:LAN LED 5:NC 6:NC 7:PWR RST CONTROL 8:GND 9:GND 10:PWR BTN CONTROL 11:SATA LED 12:GND 13:VCC 14:VCC5 for HDD LED I am pretty confused as to where I should connect the hdd led, power led, reset switch and power switch.
Make sure that you connect the wires correctly and securely, as an incorrect connection can cause damage to the motherboard or the front panel components.
Thank you so much.
I have a question: for which cables does the polarity matter?
The polarity of some cables and connections in the front panel header may matter. For example, the ground connections (e.g., 2:GND, 8:GND, 9:GND, and 12:GND) need to be connected to the corresponding ground pins on the front panel header. The power reset control (7:PWR RST CONTROL) and power button control (10:PWR BTN CONTROL) cables also need to be connected with the correct orientation, as the direction of the current flow through these cables determines the behavior of the reset switch and power button. It's important to consult the manual for your specific motherboard and front panel header to determine which cables have specific polarity requirements and how to properly connect them.
Unfortunately, there isn't much documentation for my motherboard. The attached image was the only information I could find and it was found in a service manual for a similar gateway pc. The motherboard model is mb dig43l eup 08180-2.

When transferring a motherboard from one case to another, you will need to reconnect all of the front panel headers, which include the power switch, reset switch, power LED, and HDD LED. Here are the steps you can follow:
Note that some motherboards may have additional front panel headers for features such as USB ports or audio jacks. These headers are typically located in a different location on the motherboard and may require different cables or connectors. Consult your motherboard manual for more information.
