Question edited for clarity and spelling Dacker to Decker.
Question moved from Power Computers.

All question need FULL 'make model (what it is)'. Black and Decker make electric screwdrivers, electric drills, vacuum cleaners, coffee makers, breadmakers, toasters, irons, toaster ovens and garden equipment like leaf vacuums and trimmers plus electric mowers. You give no clue to which you have, so it is a question that can't be answered. It _may_ be in this link?

Dust Buster 16.8v won't hold charge, but for a minute. Can rechargeable battery be replaced or is is shot?

What model number is this. Black and Decker does not make a 16.8 to my knowledge, so a model number would be helpful.

Our black and decker 14.4 Dustbuster is functioning but the charger does not shot its light that will indicate of charging. we dont know if the charger is not working or just the charge light is the one...

You can test the output of the charger with a multimeter. Set it at about the 20v scale and touch the contacts at point where it connects with the Dustbuster. If you get a reading it means that the charger is working. I would say that the charger is most likely not working because LED indicators very seldom fail while chargers are not all that reliable.

My phv 1800 doesn't have any vacuum power any longer. I have kept the filters cleaned and emptied. It is still under warranty. What can i do

Good afternoon,

There could be a few different problems with the vacuum, some more serious than others. The great thing is that the unit is still under warranty. My advice would be to contact your local B & D Service Center:
"All Black & Decker Service Centers are staffed with trained personnel to provide customers
with efficient and reliable power tool service. Whether you need technical advice, repair, or
genuine factory replacement parts, contact the Black & Decker location nearest you. To find
your local service location, refer to the yellow page directory under "Tools-Electric" or call:
1-800-544-6986 or visit http://www.blackanddecker.com/."

For further reference, please view a free copy of your manual here:

I hope this starts you out on the right foot. Please rate this solution!

Thanks,
~PCF
