In a dark room, does the tv have a blue glow to the screen?

Testimonial: "It did. After talking with Vizio support, they determined the screen was bad. I decided not to pursue further repair. Thanks though!"
If replacing the circuit boards didn't solve the issue, here are a few suggestions that might help you fix the black screen issue on your TV:
Check the cables: Make sure all the cables connecting your TV to the wall and to other devices are securely plugged in and not damaged.
Reset the TV: Try resetting your TV to its original factory settings. This may resolve the issue if it was caused by a software problem.
Check the power source: Make sure the TV is receiving adequate power and that the power source is functioning correctly.
Try a different input: Try connecting a different device to the TV, such as a DVD player or a different cable or satellite box, to see if the problem is with the TV or with the source.
Contact a professional: If you have tried these steps and the issue persists, it may be a hardware problem. In this case, it's best to contact a professional for further assistance.
If you still have the warranty for the TV, it may be best to utilize it for repairs.

Testimonial: "Thanks for responding. I started with doing all the hard resets and whatnot. I haven't hooked anything to the inputs yet only because I haven't gotten to get a main pop-up screen or menu selections. The guy who gave it to me said it was out of warranty and needed to go to an outside source for repair and so he just bought another TV and put this one up for free. I'm just wondering now if there really is something serious and it just returned the circuit boards."
