I own my Samsung Rugby SGH AM7 phone (paid for) did a reset, why does it ask to contact provider when I don't use it as a cell phone any longer? have a for an unused phone?
Did a reset to erase everything I had on it...... so that I could use it as a mass storage device (music). It's my property now that I own the phone and should be able to use it as I chose instead of throwing it away is some landfill.

When you reset your Samsung Rugby SGH-A137, it's possible that the firmware may have been set to automatically connect to the original mobile network provider when the device is powered on. This is a common behavior for cellular devices, even if the device is no longer being used as a cell phone.
To bypass this, you may need to contact your original mobile network provider and request that they release the device from their network. This can typically be done by providing the device's IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) number and proof of ownership.
Once the device has been released from the network, you should be able to use it without being prompted to contact the provider. If you continue to experience issues, you may also want to try manually configuring the device's network settings to use a different network, or disabling the cellular capabilities altogether if they are not needed.

Hi, Free unlock codes may not always be safe. If you enter over a certain amount of wrong unlock codes , your phone may get hard locked and sometimes become unusable. So it is better to choose a reliable and paid unlocking service. Contact your service provider and get the unlock code for your Samsung SGH-A157 from them. If it's not possible get the code from reliable online sites. Try Simpleunlocking.com , they provide codes at affordable price!!
Yo! you will have to contact your service provider to request for the MMS settings for your phone. the automatic configuration will be sent

You can simply purchase a SAMSUNG RUGBY SGH-a837 unlock code from a SAMSUNG UNLOCK CODE provider for the codes. Their prices are reasonable and not to mention, their codes are safe and 100% accurate. thanks
