To scan for digital channels on your Akai PDP4298ED1 TV, you can follow these steps:

  1. Press the "Menu" button on your TV remote.
  2. Use the arrow buttons to select the "Setup" menu and press "OK".
  3. Use the arrow buttons to select the "Installation" option and press "OK".
  4. Select "Automatic Search" or "Auto Scan" and press "OK". The TV will begin scanning for digital channels.
  5. Once the scan is complete, the TV should display a list of channels that it has found. You can then use the arrow buttons to select a channel and press "OK" to tune to it.
If the auto scan feature does not work, you may need to try a manual scan instead. To do this, follow the same steps as above but instead of selecting "Automatic Search", choose "Manual Search" and enter the frequency of the channel you want to tune to. You can find the frequency information for your local channels by doing a quick online search or checking with your local TV provider.

Can't get any channels on

You will need to attach an antenna: Free (broadcast TV) uses the old UHF / VHF frequencies so any TV Antenna (no matter how old) will do. Even a set of "rabbit-ears" is enough in most areas. You can find antennas at Radio Shack / Best Buy / Meijer / Kmart - almost anywhere... Attach the Antenna to the ANT/Cable Connector on your TV then use the "Auto Tune" or Channel Program Feature to scan for Broadcast Channel in your area.

How do I program my RCA LED48G45RQ HDMI to digital channels

Several things to check. First go in the menu where u are doing the channel scan and see if there is a separate line that says digital and if so select it so it can add those channels. Next look also on the remote and see if there is a button that says ANT or Input and press it to see if selects the digital side. Next see how u are hooking up the set from either cable, SAT, Antenna, etc, and are u going thru the antenna connection/the screw on cable input. Cause if going thru hdmi or any other input will not allow u to scan channels. Next the tv may not have a digital tuner in which some new sets don't, look in owners manual and read on channel programming and it should tell u. Maybe something here will help.

HOW TO CONNECT ANTENNA TO MODEL # LDVD22-10A

You will need an antenna with a standard 'F' connector (Think Cable
wire end) Find the matching screw on 'F' terminal on back of tv & screw/push on (screw on type of connector is better). Then turn on the tv, go to TV input, & do an auto channel scan. It may take awhile. Be patient. After the scan is over, you should have SOME channels. I say that because Digital signals are the only ones available by antenna, & they ARE VERY SENSITIVE TO ANTENNA LOCATION & ORIENTATION. If you get no or few channels,l move the antenna & do auto scan again.

Have a vizio lcd tv . can not get any channels today with the switch over to digital. i use an antenna

Your TV probably does not have a digital tuner connected to the DTV/ANT input. Mine didn't. I had to connect the digital antenna to a digital converter box THEN go to the DTV/ANT input. Only then would it activate the DTV menu and allow me to scan for channels. If your TV worked fine with Cable TV connected to the input, it was because your signal was coming from the digital tuner in your DVR, or your cable provider was sending you an unscrambled digital signal (not likely).
I used a digital converter box I had purchased with the government $40 coupon back in 2009 but the resolution is only 480 and looks like a Monet or Renoir. Now I am shopping for a high quality tuner.
