Pilot light on my portable propane heater won't stay on and that kills the heater. Strangely we use it in a Sunroom, in the North East. Wht's the problem??

Dirty either inside or accumulated soot. Posible not in correct position, it needs to be within flame reach

Propane water heater pilot will not stay lit after releasing pilot button in order to activate main burner.

You need to call a technician that works on propane appliances, Propane can launch your house and kill everything. There are cases where bad propane can affect the appliance.

this sounds strangely like a safety switch problem , ill bet the device that confirms the pilot lite lit before going to main burner has a problem

could be blockage in the pilot making it short clean pilot and burner or replave thermocouple if it looks worn out

Propane heater wont stay running

is the sensor for the thermocouple located in the right spot in the flame,remove it and if you have access to a propane torch,heat the end till its red hot and leave it connected to the gas valve,then start the unit and this will tell you if the sensor is properly positioned in the pilot flame on the unit itself,if not you could have a defective new thermocouple or another safety device keeping it from staying lit or the gas valve is faulty

Torpedo heater wont stay lit.

Do you have the serial number or the manufacture date? There are some design changes and I would need to know the year of manufacture to assist accurately. Usually it is a relay or the thermocouple connection that will affect the unit staying lit.
