My DCS-RG-486GD oven won't get above 350-400 degrees, I have already changed the thermostat.

Is there a thermal fuse on this unit, and if so , where is it located?

It sounds to me that you do not have the proper temp thermostat or the thermostat is not properly seated. You may also want to check your thermal fuse. It will shut the oven off if it detects improper or over temperature. Faulty parts can cause faulty use issues.

10 year old DCS Oven does ignite. Oven ignitor glows but maybe not enough to trigger LP from being introduced?

just because the ignitor glows it doesn't mean it's good,it takes 3.2 amps for the ignitor to open the gas valve and ignite the flame, usually if the flame doesn't ignite in around 40 seconds the ignitor is bad.also check the burner tube, your model number doesn't come up so i don't know if you have one or two ignitors in this oven but i've found that when the ignitor starts to fail and the customer waits to long to have it looked at the ignitor burns a hole in the tube and then both the ignitor and tube has to be changed, hope this helps and good luck with your oven.

All 6 ranges and the large oven work well.the small oven won't li

My gas oven stopped working properly - called in the repair man and he replaced two of the three ceramic ignitors. (I have a two oven model). Apparently they only last / work well for 3-5 years. Kinda sounded crazy to me - but verified on the internet they are required to be replaced. Not sure I'd call the repair man next time - get the part yourself, one screw & two wires to replace. I'm no expert - but that solved my problem.

Help in Replacing broiler igniter DCS RG-486GD

Jeff,
You have to remove the back of the range; the wires plug into the gas valve that controls gas to the broiler.  They detach by pulling on the slip on connector.
