There are several common faults that can cause a lack of sound on the Aiwa CXZM2600 front panel circuit board:

  1. Damaged components (e.g. capacitors, resistors)
  2. Loose connections
  3. Badly soldered joints
  4. Blown fuses
  5. Failed audio amplifier IC It's recommended to check these potential issues and to have an experienced technician diagnose and repair the fault.

Sharp tv troubleshooting

Check its speaker first. If it is found OK, connect the set to any external amplifier If no sound is produced by external amplifier too, the main digital board has the fault. If there is sound by external amp, and not with TVs internal speaker, the fault is with its audio output stage circuit. If you wish to get more details, surf the following link. Toshiba tv just click

Hello
If there is sound output from its speakers, when turn ON, and catches a transmission, the fault must be to its Timing Contrrol board. This board also known as T'Con board. This is a common fault to all LCD tvs, irrespective of their brand.
If sound output also absent, the motherbaord [Main board] has the fault. Whicheaver it may, this is a skilled work, and can only be done by an experienced service techinician. If you know anyone such, just contact him/her.
Otherwise contact the nearest Authorised Service Center for Toshiba at your town. OK.

I have a Yamaha RX-V2092 with a 7 speaker set up. Purchased new. Everything has worked great until recently. Now the center channel speaker, left front effect speaker & left main speaker short off...

It seems that the main sound processor comes into an error and so seems a fault on the board. Since checking for a component level solution is very tricky as the access is not friendly, what could be done initially is to remove and reset the boards, check for faulty connectors that seems to vibrate and bring in these faults. Check the solde joints of the connector pins on the board. Check and solder the processor IC and the allied circuits. If the fault seems to disappear when the set heats up then you must check using a magnifier.Check the solder on the audio driver outputs of the center, main , front and rear are clean.
If not refer and proceed with consensus as a false move can cripple the set.

Hi I am hoping that somebody could help me out with that samsung TV which i have purchased before 5 years ago, tv having problem regarding all about with sound of tv (model no-CZ-21K5G7 type-KS9A21K5 SVC...

Hello
you have given me a detailed description of the fault of your Samsung TV. At first, make sure that the "mute" function is in 'OFF" positon. If it is in "ON" position, no sound output will be there from your TV as you know. If it is alright, switch OFF your set by its mains power ON/OFF switch at its front panel. You have to check this first. Keep your ear very close to the speaker side of your TV, and switch it ON by the front panel switch, and listen, whether there is any "Thumb" sound comes from the speaker or not. If there is sound, it means that the speaker is alright, and the sound output section inside the main board of your TV is faulty. If there is no sound "Thumb" from the speaker, the speaker has got damaged, and should be replaced.
The second step needs some skill in electronic work. You must have a good quality multimeter and soldering iron to proceed. Open your TV, and pull out the main circuit board out, keep it upside down, and check for any loose sodering at the audio output side in the circuit. it is a common fault to all kind of TVs that, loose solderings will occur after a long period of use. heating and cooling of these components in the audio output section will result in loose solderings at the termianals of componets. Just resolder most of the suspected solder point by applying a little more solder over it. Care should be taken not to short circuit adjecent sodler points when do this work. If this does not help you, measure the voltage at the input pin of the audio output IC. If it is found ok, desolder it out the audio output IC from the circuit board, and replace it with same type and number. OK.

Dear Sir, In my aiwa tv there is no audio sound (,two speakers ) how can i rectify the problem, Pls any one help me to sort out the issue. Rgds, Jayaprakash.

Hello
You just check whether its speaker has damaged or not. You can check it easly. Just place your ear very near to the speaker side of your TV, and switch on the TV with its panel on-off switch, not by remote hanset. If you hear a "thumb" sound from that side of the speaker, you can make sure that the speaker is OK, and the fault is inside the circuit board of Tv.
If there is no "thumb" sound, open the TV and check the speakers for continuity. You can check the speaker with a troch cell, by touching its poles to the leads of the speaker, with attaching a pice of wire to the cell. If it is found faulty, replace them with an identical type and resistance, Its impedence [resistance] will be marked on its magnet. Choose an exact one.
If speakers are found Ok, and still there is no sound, if your TV is equipped with an earphone socket in front panel, push in an earphone pin into it, and check whether there is sound output from it or not. If there is sound output from it, and you can't get it through speakers, the earphone socket is faulty, and replace it.
if there is no sound from the earphone socket also, just goto the sound output section of the circuitboard of your TV. You can locate that section by following the speaker wire. Look for any loose soderings first. I advice you to resolder all the soldering points of sound output Ic, before replacing it. After resoldering, still there is no sound, check the input supply voltage of that Ic. If it is not there, check for the reason. if it is there and still no sound, sound output Ic is faulty, and replace it with same type and number.
If you need anymore assistance, get me through Fixya. OK.

My sound is not working. I have a picture but no sound

Hello
Pictrue being Ok and there is no sound is your problem. It may be either fault to its speaker or it sound output Ic. You can be sure about which of this has got troubled by yourself. Keep your ear very close to the speaker side of your TV, and switch it "ON" bu "MAINS", not by remote control. If you can hear a "Thumb" sound or a "Hum" sound, you can make sure that your TVs speaker is OK. If there is no sound at al, it means that there is some fault to your TVs speaker. It can be due to a socket trouble also. If there is an earphone socket in front panel of your TV, just insert an earphone pin into it and check whether sound coming from it or not. If there is sound through earphone, and when it is unpluged, sound does not transfer to the speaker, means that socket has some trouble. Replacing it will solve the problem.
If you hear a "HUM" sound, as decribed earlier here, this may due to the Sound Output Ic inside the circuit borard of your TV. To rectify this fault, ypu have to open your tv, and locate the sound output ic. Just follow the speaker wire, and somewhere near it orginates from the mainboard, or other board, can locate it. Usually this IC will be screwed into a metal plate, inorder to radiate heat from it while working. Check for any loose solderings to its legs, that may also cause it to be nonfunctional. Anyway resolder its legs first by applying a little more solder, and check the result. If this also doesn't help, resolder it out from the board, and go for a same type and number. Replaceing it will solve the problem. Ok.
Take every precautions before you open your TV. Keep children away from you while you are working. Never allow to them even stand beside you, and allow an adult beside you as a pracationary measure, and as a helping hand. Keep AC power chord out of wall socket each time you make contact with the inner circuit board of your TV.
If you wants any further assistance, inform me through Fixya.

ZANUSSI DE6855 DISHWASHER - NO HEAT FOR WASHING OR DRYING

Make sure you unplug before you start. I had the same problem with a DE6850. The heater was ok. Metered at 25.ohms. Apparently, the relay on the control board mounted in the front door behind the switches is a common fault. Remove the screws around the top part of the door and you will be able to get at the control module. Resolder the connection. Zanussi reliability has been lost. Noel P31bf5e2.jpg
