Try a motor reset.

This is the electronic washer. Unplug for two minutes, plug it in then open and close lid 7 times. This will reset motor. Also make sure belt is not broken.

WBVH6240FWW GE FRONT LOAD control counts dow to 9 mins then jumps back to 11 mins in rinse and drain. I replaced the control. What else could cause this problem
Too much soap generally causes it to change time. Soap causes motor overload. The control detect over amping and declares a suds error. All machines have this built in though many do not display the error. Items between baskets can also trigger this.

No , all new front loads have a self cleaning filter. Therefore nothing needs to be emptied or clean. The little trap door in front of the washer is to drain it in case of a power failure when the washer is full of water. .

Door gasket leaking
My GE washer model wcvh6400j0ww was leaking too. The repair person thought the same thing the gasket. It turned out to be the water in-let pipe (WH41X10118 and you will need seal WH41X10119) and not the gasket. He ordered the gasket and took machine apart to replace and found cracked pipe. Take your machines front off and make sure it is the gasket leaking. Good Luck,

I have notice this problem with a lot of front loaders. I would check the manufacture warranty to see with is covered and if you bought an extended warranty, use it, keep your receipts for your previous purchases.

gfw550ssn0ww will turn on by knob but turns off after about 8 seconds Hello I have the GE gfw550ssn0ww. I went to try and start a load of laundry and noticed a clicking noise while washer was in off mode. I turned the knob to select any option and after selecting something within 8 seconds the clicking sound came up and washer shut down and didnt even try to spin to start the load of laundry. I tried selecting an option quickly within 2 seconds pressed the start button and nothing started but then after about 8 seconds the click sound and control panel shut down. With the washer plugged in all it does is making a clicking sound even while nothing is on. It took me a while but i finally got all the error codes which were 92, 15,89,66,34,3,26 and finally 19.

ge hydrowave washer GTWN4250D0WS I have a GE Hydrowave Washer gtwn4250d0ws, won't run. Current status - 6 inches of water in bottom. Cannot Start Cycle, Cannot start drain, the lights change when the dial is turned, but when the start button is pressed, nothing happens. I reset the maching numerous times, to no avail. One Clue - it was acting imballanced prior to shutting down. Hey - turns out the drain pump was clogged with metal that came from the inner tub cracking away from the hub - the tub became disconnected, and was flopping around. A new hub could replace the old one, but I'm concerned with potential dammage to the outer tub. RIP Hydrowave.
