Power problem, nothing show that my laptop is charging

I have power problems on my Acer aspire 5920 series when the AC adaptor connect to power the green light of the AC is on but on the laptop the power light blinks and stop nothing show that is charging

If your Acer Aspire 5920 series laptop is not charging when the AC adapter is connected, it is likely that the power cord is not properly connected. Either the AC port on the back of your laptop has a lose connection - if operation without battery is an issue, or if battery charge only is issue - then battery may have to be reseated or it is at end of life. Test by removing battery and running AC alone. if connection port is bad, laptop will power off immediately/unexpectedly. Good luck! btw - batteries for this unit are around $40 on ebay

My Acer Aspire 9805 battery was replaced. For
It could be an AC adaptor issue.

It should boot when connected directly to the power outlet through the laptop adaptor. If it is not boot, then the adaptor might not be supplying the needed power to boot it up.

If it is possible, try to isolate the issue. Charge your new battery using another laptop. Then plug it in your laptop to see if it works. If it will work, then it is the AC adaptor of your laptop that is defective. If the charged battery still won't make the laptop boot, then there is something wrong with your laptop hardware. If could be a motherboard issue of your laptop.

Thanks for using FixYa. You will need to reset the Laptop if it is not starting up. Follow the procedure as under to reset it---

Remove all connections to and from the laptop. Now remove the battery and press and hold the power on button for 2 minutes. Release the power on button. Slip in the battery pack. Plug in the power to the laptop and to the wall. Please do not plug in any other devices and now try the Laptop powering it on to resolve the issue.

Says plugged in not charging
Take out the battery and make sure you can turn on the laptop with just the AC Adaptor hooked up.

If you can then you know the AC Adaptor is good. Try another known good working battery in the laptop, if the battery charges then you know that the old battery is bad.

If the laptop doesn't charge with a know working battery or a new one then you know that the motherboard is bad.
