Re:
If your TI-5035II calculator is not feeding paper, it is likely that the paper feed roller is not properly connected. Make sure that the paper feed roller is securely connected to the calculator and that the power switch is in the "on" position. If the problem persists, you may need to replace the paper feed roller or contact the manufacturer for assistance.

Installing the Paper Roll Caution: Avoid placing a double thickness of paper into the mechanism. Do not pull the paper through the mechanism without pressing feed button. 1. If necessary, press on to turn the calculator on, and press P to turn the PRINT display indicator off. 2. Remove the printer compartment cover by placing a thumb on each of the lower ridged corners of the cover. Push until the cover pops open, and lift the cover off. 3. Unroll a few inches of paper from the small roll and cut the end squarely. 4. Hold the paper so that it unrolls from the bottom, and insert the end of the paper into the slot under the printing mechanism. 5. Press feed button until the paper feeds out of the top of the printer compartment. 6. Place the small roll of paper inside the compartment. 7. Feed the end of the paper through the slot behind the clear plastic "window" of the printer compartment cover. Then snap the compartment cover back onto the unit.
Installing the Paper Roll 1. Lift the paper holder so that it extends behind the calculator. 2. Make sure the calculator is plugged into an easily accessible electrical outlet near the calculator. 3. Move the POWER switch to ON. 4. Insert the end of the paper into the paper slot on the back of the calculator as shown. To avoid paper jams, use quality bond paper. 5.While feeding the paper into the slot, press and hold up arrow. 6. Place the paper roll on the paper holder. Note: To prevent damaging the printer (which may void the warranty), move the POWER switch to ON when operating the calculator without paper.
I have the exact same problem (just happended recently) with my TI-5045 II after 25 years of good service. My solution? I just bought another model: Sharp EL-1801V at Stapels for about $31.00. To get the old one fixed will probably cost me $25.00-30.00 just to diagnose, plus shipping and parts and labor. And that assumes I can find a shop to do it, or that TI still stocks the part(s) gone bad. Same old problem with all technology.
Slide off the upper cover of the calculator, and cut across the paper roll to form a clean end. If you are mounting the roll externally (outside of the back of the calculator), then look for a slot in the rear of the calculator, which will accept the paper. Feed the end of the paper through the rear slot, and then into the internal feed slot, and hold the [FEED] key. After that, you can flip the arm back to mount the roll and replace the upper cover. If you want to place the roll inside of the calculator, then you need to feed from the bottom of the roll into the internal feed slot, and hold the [FEED] key. After you are finished, replace the upper cover.
