Depending on the age of your receiver, this may be possible. Turn on the receiver. Then press and hold the Aux button until all of the mode buttons light up. Press 2 to tell the remote that the unit to be controlled is an audio receiver. Then you will need to try one of the Denon 3-digit codes. Press # and check that the mode flashes 3 times. Check if your receiver turns off. If it does, check if the other buttons work to control the receiver. Otherwise try another Denon code by starting at the press and hold the Aux button step.

If you want the remote only to control the volume, mute and power functions of the receiver, press 1 after entering the three-digit code and before pressing the # key.

The Denon device codes to try are 669 670 680 682 696
744 759 760 762 792 809 . You can find the directions for programming the Aux key on page 11-12 of the manual. The code list for audio devices starts on page 43. The manual is available from Dish here: https://www.mydish.com/filestream.ashx?ID=3025 . Usually the code list for universal remote features will not always work with devices that were released less than 6 months before the remote was programmed. Devices released after the remote was programmed are similarly not guaranteed to be supported.

Aux buttons on any kind of cable or sat provider( Dish , Direct , Comcast, etc) its not a gurantee that a code will be avaliable. Dish has advance tech agents who may be able to assist but its not on dish's side to provide you with the code. So the manufactuer is your best bet.

There is no setup codes for Denon AVR with this Dish Network remote control.

Hello! My name is Becki, with DISH Network. Programming the remote to the TV is a pretty easy process. I have given some codes that should work to program the remote. If not, please let me know!

1. Hold down the clear TV button until all lights light up at the top of the remote
2. Punch in a 3 digit code (provided below)
3. Press the # (POUND) button
4. Try powering the tv on/off, and the volume. If one or more of these functions do not work, start over from step 1 with a different code

you will need your Dish network remote to program your dish network box. This universal will not work. but if you need the full codes for this remote to program to your tv then go download the full manual with codes here.

To program your DISH Network remote to your Sony TV you will simply- press and hold the TV Mode button until all the other mode button back lights illuminate, then release.

-Now while the TV mode button is blinking please enter in the remote code 500 which is the remote code for your Sony TV after entering 500 then press the pound (#) key.

-After pressing the # key on the DISH Network remote, the TV mode button should blink 3 times and then turn off completely. This will mean the programming of the DISH remote to your TV has been completed successfully. While still in TV mode try any of the functions on the remote, such as turning the volume up or down on your TV or attempting to press the power button.

-The DISH Network remote should now be programmed to control your TV.

-If the remote code 500 doesn't program the DISH Network remote successfully you can also try each of the following using the same procedures, 000, 590, 640, 502, 002, or 567.
