Sony VPL-CS5 menu will not display

Give input signal to the projector and see that if the menu appears or not on the screen.
if menu comes on the screen then put the backgroung color to blue, instaed of black.

if nothing comes on the screen, then the LCD panels are faulty.

ive got the same problem if showing a white background. i can see parts that are a bit purple...
when i got a new lamp today the problem is not as intense anymore. when i looked at the lamp i was able to see some dirt that had been burned into the glas in front of the bulb. it had approximately the same color. since i just bought a bulb and installed it into the case of the first lamp, which doesnt have that color burned into the glas, the problem is way smaller than before.

im not sure if thats the reason - but might be a solution...

Lamp change

You have to go to the settings on the projector and reset the lamp timer.. Go to your on screen menu and go to settings.. Good Luck

YELLOW SPOT ON SCREEN

There may be a dust fleck on one of the LCD screens inside your projector. I had a similar problem and managed to clean it. But it requires you to dissassemble the entire projector !!!. If you are not technical, don't do this yourself. !!!
