Re:
It is possible that the problem with your All Pro SPC 150T propane heater could be caused by a faulty gas regulator or pressure switch. The gas regulator controls the flow of propane while the pressure switch controls the temperature of the heater. You may need to replace the gas regulator or pressure switch in order to get your heater running again. Additionally, you could also check for any loose connections or clogs in the fuel line.

This tells me the flame sensor is bad. When it heats up it separates causing the unit to shut off. You should replace this and it will resolve the problem.
Thanks and have a great weekend.
If the wattage of the heater does not exceed 400 watts then you certaily can. Just watch that you don't run down your battery if you intend to shut off your vehicle.
this is caused by a bad thermo coupling. just to make sure that it is in fact bad - hold down the button for about 20 seconds while the heater is going and if after that amount of time the unit still shuts down when you release the fuel button - then replace the thermo coupling.
I plug a Thermostat in The power line to break the power when at temp. Once I start the heater using the reset button, when temp is reached and the themo calls for heat just the blower comes on only. I have a All Pro propane 50,000 to 85,000 btu heater thanks Ron
These heaters have built in thermostats. Sometimes they are adjustable sometimes they are not, check to see if your is adjustable and see if this fixes your problem. Also check to see if there is any air restrictions possibly causing the heater to over heat.
going through the backplate to the nozzle location is the thermocouple. it is a copper like tube that sits back from the actual flame. if you are looking for a replacement go to www dot desatech dot com.
