Wolf cooktop 2005 model ct36 e ser# 1157479. double burner not working
I left water boiling on double burner on high for an hour till pot was dry forgot to turn it off. I reset breaker several times. When I turn just that burner on burner control lights blink five seconds and go off. Burner is warm to the touch. When i turn on any or all of the other burners and then turn on faulty burner the control blinks continuously and burner is warm to the touch. if I turn off any other burner while faulty one is blinking it then goes off and I hear an audible click near burner controls. Thanks for listening.

Turboboil is a feature offered on a number of Kenmore electric ranges and cooktops. Without you model number it's hard to get into specifics - but turboboil is a special, high wattage heating element that delivers up to 3KW of energy to a specific heater on the cooktop. If I understand correctly, you would only use this setting when you wish to bring water to a boil in the shortest period of time possible - then change to a normal burner heat setting to maintain the temperature of the water in the pot.
Remember, an electric heat element is turned "full on" and "full off" as needed to maintain temperature (unlike a dimmer knob controls a light bulb). The turbo boil turns on a "double heater" to rapidly heat the water - after water reaches 212 degrees, it can not be heated any further (it turns into steam) so you should switch to a normal burner mode from that point forward.
Hello, Did you clean the cooktop recently? Sometimes water or cleaner can get into the spark switch causing it to spark untill it dries out. The same if a boiling pot spills. If none of those happened one of the burner switches is bad.
The water has shorted out at least one of the igniter switches. Disconnect power to the unit and let it dry out for several hours and it should be just fine.
is this the front right burner? i looked at one yesterday where milked spilled into it.it burnt out the little board under the know. i am not sure of the model # on the one i worked on.
