Hi, I have a HP DeskJet Ink Advantage 1515, and the printer keep making a grinding noise while printing something, does someone knows why?

place the alignment page in the printer and press scan. I sometimes have to do this 2 times.

1. Check power. Make sure printer is on
2. Load paper.
3. Remove cartridge.
a. Open cartridge door. Wait for print carriage to move to center.
b. Press down to release cartridge, then remove it from slot.

First, inspect the printer compartments for clog materials or debris. Usually observe the paper feeder area and dispenser areas for unsuccessful printer outs. Also, inspect the computers ink cartrigdes for any depleted supplies. Prior printers would least attemp jobs when supplies were amost depleted.

For older versions of Windows (98+ME), try the HP Color LaserJet 5/5M PS 9X driver - it works for me on ME on a CP1514N

I think the noise is normal for hp deskjet. When starting up, the printer read the head existence, and do cleaning. is it the first replacement cartridge? Disable ink status monitor.
