  1. Turn off the printer and unplug the power cord.
  2. Open the ADF cover and remove any paper that may be inside.
  3. Locate the ADF roller on the left side of the printer, and press the tab on the bottom of the roller to release it from the printer.
  4. Take the new ADF roller and insert it into the printer, making sure it clicks into place.
  5. Repeat the process for the ADF roller on the right side of the printer.
  6. Close the ADF cover and plug the printer back in.
  7. Turn the printer back on and test the ADF to ensure that it is working properly.
It's important to follow the instructions carefully and if you have any doubts or difficulties, consult the printer's user manual or contact the manufacturer for assistance.

It senses paper loaded into the ADF but doesn't feed

There should be a button with settings on it.....ie: 2 sided, collate, etc. There should be an option to change paper settings.......or just clear the whole menu, and go to default to reset the rollers.

Canon Imageclass D880 automatic document feeder problems

Hi,

Clean the ADF rollers and pad with alcohol.

Check to see if your ADF has done over 90 000 copies and if it has, change the ADF pick up assembly only.

Good Luck

Image class 780 ADF jamming problem

The problem could be with the ADF rollers. First open the top ADF cover and clean the rollers gently with some isopropyl alcohol on a soft cloth, let dry for about 10 minutes. Also check to see that the top seperator pad is not worn out. This pad should be cleaned as well. If this does not work the ADF rollers and the seperator pad will have to be replaced.

Canon PC 1060 will not SCAN

Cleaning the rubber rollers on the ADF may help it to pull the paper through; I did it on my 1060 and I think it helped. (This was suggested in another post some time ago.)

Press Additional Functions. Use arrow keys to find ADJUST/CLEAN; press SET. Use arrow keys to find CLEAN ADF ROLLER. Open the ADF. Press SET. Each time you press SET, the rollers will rotate a partial turn. With the corner of a soft cloth slightly moistened with isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol, wipe the black rubber rollers both on the bottom and top of the ADF. Push SET again and rub again, several times. (DO NOT use alcohol on the long white roller! Use a dry cloth only, if you want to clean it.) Push STOP/RESET when you're done.

Touch the rollers only after they stop--not while they are rotating!

No guarantees, but it may be worth a try.

Adf

this is a dealer only item, if it's not pulling paper and you can see the feed roller turning, you may just need new feed rollers, but you would still need to order those from you local canon dealer

Missing pages

Your Doc feed needs new Rollers and Seperation Sheet/Pad, it is pulling pages, but not all the way, while the scanner continues to scan. the ADF might also need adjustment.
