There are a few potential issues that could be causing your E studio283p printer to not print when connected via LAN or USB. Some possible causes include:

  • The printer driver is not installed or is out of date. Make sure you have the latest driver for your printer installed on your computer.
  • The printer is not properly configured on your network. Check the printer's IP address and ensure that it is correctly set up on your LAN.
  • The USB cable is not properly connected. Ensure that the cable is securely connected to both the printer and your computer.
  • The printer is not turned on or is not properly connected to power.
  • There is an issue with the printer's firmware or hardware.
You may try to troubleshoot the problem by checking the printer's manual or consulting with the manufacturer's technical support.

How connect a tcp ip printer.

Hi Kumar,
You can modify or change port in the printer driver to connect it through LAN cable. Please notice whether you use static or dynamic ip address. Please follow below step.

In the following step we will modify your existing USB connection. Check it out!

Step:
  • Open printer driver list.
  • Right click on the printer drive name (e.g Canon IR2270).
  • Select Properties.
  • Click Ports tab.
  • Click Add Port, then select Standard TCP/IP Port.
  • Click New Port.
  • Click Next on add port wizard menu.
  • Type IP Address (for static ip setting) or Printer Name (DHCP), then click Next (computer will search the printer).
  • When the printer has been found, finish the wizard.
  • Close Add Port menu.
  • Now you have new port represented by IP Address or Printer Name (with checked box active) in port list .
  • Click Apply.
Bingo! Now your printer ready to print via LAN. Sometimes printing right after setting this new port not always succeed. Don't be panic. Restart both of printer and the computer.
Next time you want to connect the printer via USB port so you change port back to USB. Just simply check on the check box next to USB Port in port list and click apply. You may need to restart both printer and computer too :)

Have a nice day!

USB connection faulty

That model should come with standard network connectivity. If, in fact, the usb port is out then you can connect the unit via ethernet on your LAN and regain your print and scan functions. Keep in mind that network scanning protocols (SMB, FTP, SMTP) require some IT knowledge to set up.

Error while sending message to sc print a

Try installing the printer with a USB cable first (disconnect the LAN CABLE FIRST) and do a normal installation. Check all functions of the printer and then do a LAN printer install by going to "install or add a new printer on the control panel and then follow the instructions for adding the printer via LAN or wireless if it does support that function. I think you did the initial install backwards (LAN first instead of USB) and when you think you're done, update any software that might be available from the manufacturers site, THE ACTUAL MANUFACTURER not any other site that offers the update!) Like CNET OR FIXYA OR WHATEVER) GO DIRECTLY TO THE SITE, e.g., Canon, Epson, ETC..)

How to connect my printer to a router

This model Canon printer has onlt an USB connection to a computer.
The only way to connect this printer to a router is to install a printer server with an USB connector, connect the printer to the print server and then connect the print server to the router using a LAN cable.
The printer driver needs to be installed on all the computers on your network and then to the printer properties then Port tab and add a TCP/IP port then configure this port with the print server's IP address.
Do a test print and if the test print is OK then printer is installed correctly.

Printer connected but not printing

Hello,
If your printer has a network port you should be using the network adapter.
Otherwise you want to make sure you connect the printer with a USB cable to the appropriate port on the D-Link.
Once the USB cable is connected you should be able to add the printer from your computer as a shared printer.
You will not normally see any activity lights on your router for the USB connection because it does not send or receive information the same way the LAN cables will.
I do recommend a LAN cable though as it works much better with routers. If your printer does not have one I would look into getting a network printer.
Thanks,
Pat

I have a wire less network set up and want to use my lexmark x1270 so i can print wireless but cable is USB and do i need to get a cable to put into my router or??

You can't set it up wirelessly, persay. but you can use a special bluetooth adapter in the "pic bridge" slot on the front. I have seen them on e-bay from £5($8) to £12($17) or so.
