I recently bought a Sony Cybershot DSC P92 and I put in working batteries but when I press the power button, it makes the noise but it gets cut off and it's not turning on. Please help

I have already reached out to the seller and they said they hadn't tested it

Why won't my Sony Cyber-shot digital camera turn on?
Make sure the batteries are positioned correctly before inserting them. Activate the camera. Try turning on the camera in Playback/Edit mode by switching the mode switch to that position or by pressing the Playback button if the problem persists.

I have a Sony Cybershot DSC-P92. I have replaced and recharged batteries but the camera will not turn on. The light blinks on and the tone sounds and then nothing.

Hi,
Take the camera card out of the camera.

This is a factory reset procedure so you will loose any pics in the internal memory!!

Turn the camera off and take the battery out (including AC power). move the power switch to the ON position and hold down the power button for 15 seconds, then move the power switch to the OFF position and release the button, put the battery back in and power on the camera.
NOTE: you will have to reset the time and date + any previous user settings.

My CyberShot DSC-P700 won't turn on even with full battery power.

Use Dura Cell or any Alkaline Cell in this model ordanary cell are not work. Or use any Rechargable Cell more than 2500Ma

Take the battery out and hold the power button down for 30 seconds. This will reset the camera. Put the battery back in and see of camera works properly. If not, it could be the CCD sensor and Sony may repair it for free. Call Sony at 800-222-7669. Might as well give it a shot...a cybershot.

try to switch to rechargeable Ni-MH batteries, i'm not sure it supposed to work properly with Alkaline, that's why Sony supplied battery charger and their Stamina batteries with this camera
