Sony issued a list of serial numbers for the faulty CFD-S70 players. Because the optical has a built in defect, Sony extended the warranty through November 2021. It has expired and if you want it fixed, you'll have to pay a service center. Buy a new one. It's cheaper. Serial numbers that are affected are 1000001 to 1833960

Re:
There are a few possible causes for a Sony CFD-S70 CD player not reading CDs. Some possible issues include:
Dirty or damaged CD: Make sure the CD is clean and free of scratches or damage.
Dirty lens: The lens that reads the CD may be dirty or dusty. A cleaning disc can be used to clean the lens, or you can use a soft, dry cloth to gently wipe it clean.
Faulty lens: If the lens is faulty, it may need to be replaced.
Faulty CD mechanism: If the CD mechanism is not working properly, it may need to be repaired or replaced.
Power Supply Problem: Make sure the power supply is connected and the power outlet is working.
Firmware issue: A firmware issue could prevent the CD player from reading CDs. You should check the Sony website to see if there are any firmware updates available for your specific model.
If the problem persists after trying these suggestions, it is recommended to take the device to a professional repair service or the nearest Sony Service center.

how long have you been using this player? The problem should be from the lens (laser).
The lens is weak and that's why it cannot read/load Cd's. The weak lens is also what's making it say "no disc".
Get a lens cleaner and use it to clean the lens, but if the lens still does the same thing even after using the lens cleaner, then it means you would have to change the whole lens completely to a brand new one.
By so doing your player would play all Cd's with no problem at all.
There should be a small tiny round hole on the front. Get a paper clip and straighten it out then push it through the hole until you feel the door open.
You could either try getting a linse cleaner for your Sterio. Or take it apart and Clean it, There might be alot of dust and dirt inside so it makes it hard for the laser to read the disks.
Try to use CD/DVD clening disk ($6 in Walmart). Or simply use cotton swab (Q-TIP) and 40 % ethyl alcohol (vodka) or 50-70% isopropyl alcohol (NO ACETONE), depending on your budget.
Also check if discs are inserted correctly and not damaged/durty etc. Also check your discs. Some CD-players dont accept burned CDs (copyed). I believe Sony is not the case, just a suggestion.
If cleaning wont help lens might be damaged.
Good Luck
