Most record players use a rubber wheel against the turntable (on the inside) to turn it.. as they get old and brittle they tend to slip a lot. a temporary fix involves cleaning the rubber piece but it really needs replacing..

When the turntable plays, do you get a howling bass heavy sound? Have you tried turning down the volume and bass? If that corrects the problem, you have what's known as Acoustic Feedback. The wire on the phono player PL-203AZ is not connecting to the receiver Pioneer SX312-R . I have wires to connect to Red and White from Phono to Receiver and another wire on Phono but the receiver do

I will need to know some things. Is the phone a part of the receiver?
does the phone have wires coming out of it?
What is the brand name of all the different components?
How old is the unit?
Does the phonograph have a needle in it?
Does the rest of the unit work like it should?

I assume you mean the sony dosen't have a phono input? Then all you need is a Magnetic Cartridge Pre-amp. Your turntable plugs into this and the pre-amp goes into a spare aux on the Sony. Just do a search for the Pre-amp on google by putting in "Magnetic Cartridge Pre-amp".

Judging by your message I guess it's a secondhand machine, you have either been given or purchased. I suspect that someone might have played around with the speed preset to the motor. Take a look around the deck see if you can find it, sometimes there are two, one for each speed. They should correct it, unless something has gone.

Pioneer PL-670 record rejects continually

Are the record size tabs sticking up through the turntable platter cover? They sense the size of the record being played and adjust the run out distance for either 45 or 33 rpm records.
