Sony 60" High Definition LCD Projection Television - Model KDF-60WF655; SN: 9036329, has wide green stripes showing vertically across the screen.

We have a Sony 60" High Definition LCD Projection Television - Model KDF-60WF655; S\N: 9036329, that just started displaying wide green stripes showing vertically across the screen. We have tried to disconnect power and operate Power button and remote control reset switch as per user manual, but stripes remain on screen. You are able to see the home screen/pictures through and behind the stripes.

Thanks for your suggestion. We had already done the power disconnect process as described in my original post. Might you have any other suggestions to diagnose or repair this stripe problem??

No colour in bottom right corner

I believ you have an issue with the optical block on your set. Light produced by a high-intensity projection lamp enters the optical block and is split into three paths (one each for red, green, and blue) by a series of lenses, condensers, mirrors, filters, and/or beam splitters. Each color has an LCD assembly with polarizing filters and a liquid crystal microdisplay panel (approximately 1" across). On Sony's "3LCD" models, the light is transmitted through each LCD panel, and, on their "SXRD" (Silicon X-tal Reflective Display) models, the light is reflected off each SXRD panel. Finally, the three separately colored images are combined with a special prism into the final full-color image, which is then projected/enlarged onto the back of the screen by a projection lens.
The following annotated photo shows various parts on the optical block of a 2004 3LCD model KDF-55WF655 (note that the LCD panel cover has been removed):

Either the block is starting to wear out or you have something blocking the lens, such a dirt or something has fallen and is blocking the lens
