To remove the panel on a SMEG MP122 oven to replace a broken potentiometer or switch, you will need to locate the clips or screws that are holding the panel in place. These clips or screws are usually located along the top or bottom of the panel, or along the sides. Once you have located them, use a screwdriver or a similar tool to carefully remove them. If you still facing difficulty after removing the clips or screws, you can refer the user manual of the product or contact the manufacturer for more specific instructions. Also, it is always a good idea to unplug the oven before you start working on it, for safety reasons.

Open door to about 15~20 degree angle, pull up on door and totally remove from stove. Lay face down on flat surface. Now can access all screws to separate the inner and outer panels and to replace the glass. To return to stove, use locking pliers to pull the door hinge stubs out to their 15 degree open position, slide door on and close.
If glass not broken, just can't see through, no need to remove door or glass. Use glass cooktop cleaner, apply and let soak 3 minutes, then use new single edge razor in holder to shave off the baked on grease. May have to repeat 3x then switch to glass cleaner and clean again 3x, should be quite clean and clear unless seal has failed on the double pane thermal glass and internally obscured in which case the only cure is to replace the glass... return to paragraph 1.
Hi, I have pasted the instructions for your Smeg oven you below:
9.4 Removing the internal glass panels
The glass in the door should always be kept thoroughly clean. To facilitate
cleaning, it is possible to remove the door (see 9.2 Removing the door) and
place it on a canvas, or open it and lock the hinges in order to extract the glass
panels.
The glass panels of the door can be completely removed by following the
instructions provided below.
Warning: before removing the glass panels, make sure that at least one of the
door's hinges has been locked in the open position as described in "9.2
Removing the door". This operation may have to be repeated during the glass
removal process if the door is accidentally freed.
Removing the internal glass panel:
• Remove the internal glass panel by
pulling it upwards, following the
movement indicated by the arrows. Doing
this detaches the 4 pins attached to the
glass from their slots in the oven door.
Removing the intermediate glass panels
(on some models only):
• Some multifunction models have an
intermediate glass panel. Remove the
intermediate panel by lifting it upwards.
Cleaning:
• It is now possible to clean the external
glass panel and the panels removed
previously. Use absorbent kitchen roll. In
the case of stubborn dirt, wash with a
damp sponge and neutral detergent.
Replacing the glass panels:
• Replace the panels in the reverse of the
order in which they were removed.
• Reposition the internal glass panel, taking
care to centre and insert the 4 pins
attached to the glass into their slots in the
oven door by applying slight pressure.

Sender in the tank is either broken or the potentiometer wire on it is broken. Access through the top of the tank, remove the obvious access panel , the two connectors ( note which one goes on which terminal) and carefully remove the sender. Replace.
There is no doubt that it is the element that has failed, so all you need to do is replace the fan oven element.
If you can see a removable panel at the rear of the oven ,remove that, and you should see the element.
Remove and replace.
If ther is no removable panel then you will have to access it from the rear of the oven cabinet.
Plz rate my solution.
thanks,
