The message "Wrong SRC/TM" on a BEOSOUND 9000MkIII when pressing '72' while in test mode (Shift 90258) and set to 'CD' could indicate that there is an issue with the source selection or the test mode itself. To resolve this issue, you can try the following steps:

  1. Check the source selection: Make sure that the correct source (CD) is selected on the BEO4 and that it is functioning properly.
  2. Check the test mode: Verify that the test mode has been activated correctly and that the Shift 90258 code has been entered correctly.
  3. Check for firmware updates: Make sure that the firmware on the BEOSOUND 9000MkIII is up-to-date. If there is a firmware update available, install it to resolve any issues with the test mode.
  4. Factory reset: If the above steps do not resolve the issue, a factory reset of the BEOSOUND 9000MkIII may be necessary. This will restore the unit to its original settings and resolve any software-related issues.
If these steps do not resolve the issue, you may need to seek further assistance from the manufacturer or a professional repair service. It's important to follow the manufacturer's instructions and safety guidelines when attempting to repair or troubleshoot your system to avoid damaging the unit or causing potential harm.

Bang and olufsen beosound 3000 does not read cd and loading stops. Can you help? Thanks

I never had like that. But "normally" there may be two reasons: CD fault or control board fault. Sometime main control keeps memorized wrong data and (in my Ouverture) CD unit simply is not responding and not loading - standing still. No way to move on except plugging off the power, press CD start on remote with no power, plug in power and try again. It clears bad data. I suspect it happened few times when I stopped CD player by remote or local main switch off.

"wrong cartridge" message appears, new

It could be due to "waste tank full" alarm; you may need to reset the waste tank counter.
I found a reset sequence for a MP730 printer in this website that works for F30 and F50 as well. Try:
Resetting the Waste Ink Volume Counter

1) Enter SERVICE MODE.---
By pressing Menu-Copy-#

2) Select TEST MODE.
3) Select [8] PRINTER TEST in TEST MODE.
4) Select 3. [EEPROM CLEAR].
5) Select 0. [INK COUNT].
6) Press the [OK] key.
7) Press the [Stop/Reset] key (returning to the state of 3)), and then press the [ON/OFF] key.

Skip step (6) since there is no [OK] key on F30 or F50 printers.
