Question about Panasonic Televison & Video
I have a Panasonic Viera 50 plasma tv, model TH-50PX60U, purchased in 2006. The TV has worked flawlessly since purchased, but just recently stopped working, i.e., no picture and no sound, when powered on and the red power on light flashes ten times, then goes dark for two seconds and then repeats that pattern instead of remaining on without interruption. The Operating Manual does not provide a clue as to what the flashing power light means or otherwise provide any assistance with diagnosing the issue. Seeking any information as to what the flashing power light signifies or other troubleshooting insights to diagnose the problem with the TV. Thank you in advance for any and all assistance with this problem.
DO NOT change the main board unless you want to waste some money as it will not fix the set, I've seen this issue you have many times, this flash code means P board issues. In almost every case it's been bad caps, there will be 3 larger caps on the sustain or P board, they will have a slight bulge to them and be defective, new ones can be ordered from digikey and soldered in or you can change the board if you can find one.
