Canon powershot sd 750 not turning on after few years of no use
I recently bought a used canon powershot sd 750 from ebay and am unable to turn it on. the seller indicated that the battery had been dead since 2019 so he had not used it since then, but it was in good working condition once the battery gets charged.
i bought my own charger and charged the battery but the camera still does not turn on, anyone have advice? should i just try charging it for longer? should i buy a new battery? does it matter that the battery has not been charged since 2019? let me know!

Simplest answer is to replace the battery. If it hasn't been used or charged for so long the battery will be considered 'Old' so it will not hold charge. I think the higher quality brand name batteries for it are usually a reasonable price and not expensive.

Hi, I'm sorry to tell that PowerShot SD 630 does not support SDHC cards over 2 gig. If you want the camera to take a card over 2 gig then you are stuck standard SD cards. The other camera does support the card because it's a higher model.
Many digital cameras (eg Samsung D53, Nikon 2100) have extremely poor battery life with alkaline batteries (under 20 shots!). Sometimes they won't even take a single picture.
Did you accidentally press the DISP button on the back of your camera? This manually turns the screen on and off to save batteries. Try pressing this button one more time to see if it turns the screen back on.

Check on the CD software you received with your camera whether it support the Win Xp OS.
In case it doesn't support your OS, go to the Canon web site and download to your PC the relevant drivers for your camera and OS.
Good luck !
