The E-03 error on a Sharp CD-C492 CD player typically indicates a problem with the door or the mechanism that opens and closes the door. Here are a few steps you can try to fix the issue:

  1. Check for foreign objects: Make sure that there are no foreign objects blocking the door or preventing it from opening.
  2. Check the door hinges: Inspect the hinges on the door to ensure that they are not damaged or stuck. If the hinges are damaged or stuck, try gently wiggling them to see if this helps free them up.
  3. Check the door switch: Locate the door switch, which is usually located near the hinges on the door. Check to make sure that the switch is functioning properly and that it is not stuck or damaged.
  4. Check the door motor: If the door switch and hinges are functioning properly, the problem may be with the door motor. Check to make sure that the motor is functioning properly and that it is not damaged.
If you are unable to fix the issue using the steps above, or if the error persists, it is recommended to have a qualified technician take a look at the CD player to diagnose and repair the problem

How can we fix the door of our Sharp Carousel Convection Microwave Oven Model R-9X56?

This appears to be an Australian model and these are the only spares I can find. They do sell the latches. If the hinges are damaged and causing this, you will feel movement. Looks like it is time for a new one.

Sharp combo microwave: Turntable wont stop unless I leave the door ajar. Light stays on too while turntable is going. Everything else works fine - it just doesn't know when to shut up! :)

It's a door switch that's bad. Probably the secondary interlock switch. You need an ohm meter to verify switch not 'making' electrically. Usually the only thing that causes this switch to fail is from opening the door when the microwave is cooking, secondly, by cooking at very extended lengths of time.

The large button that opens the door is not working. When I press the button I can see the light go on in the microwave, but it doesn't raise the level that opens the door?

You may have a broken door open lever.
You will have to take the outer cover off the oven to see the door opening parts.
The service manual (here) will show you how to disassemble it and what the part numbers are.

Sharp R-530E microwave door button doesn't open door

I doubt it and a service center will do it right and not cause more issues then most do it yourself people will.

Sharp Carousel Microwave - R1481 keypad doesn't work

No! I'am afraid not, the problem is in the keypad control board, the whole assembly must be replaced, the part alone will cost around $100.00 or more depending on make and model.

Sharp carousel microwave R216 LS door latch has a problem. It won't open and feels like there is just a spring inside. I dont know if I can open it and fix it.

It's probably a broken door open lever or door open button.

I have a Sharp Microwave Carousel R-420B. I put a bowl of soup in , closed the door, pressed Minute Plus, and hit Stop with approx 20 seconds to go... pressed the door release but nothing happened... door...

Usually, the door lever or hinges is the cause of this type of problem.

But in this case, I don't think the door lever or hinge is the cause of your problem.

I think the door is jammed and only needs some force before is can open or unjam.

Use your hands or a flat Philips screw driver to forcefully open the door. Don't apply too much force. Just apply a reason amount of force that could open the oven door.

Before you attempt to forcefully open the microwave door, leave it for about 45mins to 1hr, after that forcefully open the door.

If the above doesn't help to open the door, please let me know so that I can direct you further.

I wish you good luck.

Mine does this occasionally, and it's because the door hinges have got a bit out of line, allowing the door to drop slightly, so the catch mechanism won't quite disengage.
Look along the bottom edge of the door and see if it has dropped lower than the front panel next to it. Try applying a bit of upward pressure on the bottom edge with your fingers, while pulling towards you at the same time, and with your other hand press the release button.

If that gets it open, remove last night's failed meal, open the door fully and carefully force it up a bit at a time, to bend the hinges back to level - keep pushing the door back so it nearly closes, and look at the bottom edge to check on progress. When the bottom of the door looks level with the panel , try closing it fully and see if the release button will open it again.

Good luck!

Sharp microwave oven works (lights, turntable etc) but doesn't heat.

Try to replace magnetron and diode usualy that's the most problem of microwave hope that works

Dont know how to get it working

You may need to open and close the door first.

Press CLOCK > 1 > 2 > 3 > CLOCK.

Let us know if this doesn;t work. You may have a bad door switch or mount.
