  1. Dead pixels: Dead pixels are pixels on the screen that are no longer functioning properly, resulting in a colored spot or dots. If the spots remain in the same position regardless of the content being displayed, it's possible that the TV has dead pixels. Unfortunately, dead pixels are generally not repairable and may require contacting the manufacturer for warranty or replacement options.

Adjusting the Color Temperature

Color temperature refers to how red (warm) or blue (cool) the color palette is. This control helps you to adjust the color settings on your TV. You can change the color settings by following these steps:

- Using the TV remote, select settings and look for a menu item labelled video or picture.
- Select Color Temperature. A slider should appear that allows you to slide between cool and warm colors. The colors might also be labelled red or blue.
- Slide the settings away from red/warm and towards blue/cool using the remote control. You can leave the slider at the point where the color is most pleasing to you.

White dots when Panasonic plasma TV turns on disappear after warm up.

White spots or dots showing up on your TV's screen could be the result of a bad or damaged processor or due to some overheating occurring the summer time or cold weather temperatures during the winter time. TVs can be affected by electricity surges or spikes as electricity supplies vary throughout the year. Or power outages and brown outs and black out can also cause spots to be on the TV screen too.

Yellow spot in middle of screen

Hi there,
We have the same exact problem with the same TV. We've only replaced the bulb once about a year ago. Don't know if it had anything to do with the fact that we now have a large yellow circle in the middle of our screen, which is about 7" round.
We only noticed the yellow mark about 4 months ago.
Hopefully someone will have a solution for us that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. Paid $2100 for this set and are a little disappointed.

I have a panasonic pt l500u, just started getting large yellow spot in middle of screen- looks like a giant finger print. Bulb was replaced less than two months ago.

Hi:

The problem here is the one of the miniature LCD screens in the unit is faulty, in this case its the blue one. There are three of them inside the unit RED<GRN<BLUE. The blue seems to be failing in your unit, for instance if you mix red and green you get yellow. Have a local shop service the unit and clean and refocus the unit back to factory spec's..

Large yellow spot in center of tv screen

Sorry, but there is no cheap method of repair for this unless it is in warranty.

This TV will require replacement of the LCD Prism unit.

This Prism blocks and allows colors so that the 3 LCD images may be mixed to produce the final image you see on the screen. When this becomes damaged or defective, it leaks colors (light). This Color Leakage apears as spots on the screens.

Where you see the spots is where the specific spot on the prism that is leaking light, the specific color that is leaking also.

This parts cost alone is normally $500 to $1000 dollars but is usually replaced under warranty.

Good luck.....

Yellow area on screen

either burn in or magnetic field interference. I suggest moving any speakers away from the tv. if thats not the case, then find a strong magnet, make sweeping motions across the screen with it but dont touch the screen! Keep doing this until the colors change, then "sweep" them with the magnet into a corner and they will mostly dissapea.......r, sounds complicated but worked for me. can be scary so dont try unless sickly despearate or confident.   Hope This helps!
