you might need to update the fuser assembly. Please ensure that there are no other issues (ie paper jam or low toner level) before restarting your printer. Otherwise, please ensure that your printer isn't overheating. If so, turn it off for 30 minutes before using again.

Disconnect all usb and network cables and cycle the power. If the printer comes to ready then chances are you do not have a "hardware issue". Most common cause of 49 errors is out of date firmware. If you search the tips I have posted there is a detailed one on how to upgrade firmware.

Delete the software and Re-install from the server, if this does not stop. Try printing directly ( via USB) to be sure its not the Formatter.

Go out to www.hp.com/#support
Look for the PCL5 drivers. Download and install it.

This HP printer is comes with the USB cable. To install the printer software, you need to install the USB driver compatible to your printer and then it will ready to print.

The last time I checked, you cannot set up a local printer using a TCP/IP port. A local printer is physically connected to a computer via a parallel, serial (very old), or USB cable. If the printer is connected to a switch, hub, or router via an Ethernet cable, it is by definition a network printer and the driver install must reflect this. I don't understand why it is able to print out the test page after the install. If you open up Control Panel -> Printers and double-click on the HP Laserjet 2600n in there, it will bring up the local spooler for the printer. You may have a bunch of print jobs queued up in there that it cannot currently send to the printer. You may want to clear the queue first (cancel all print jobs). Let me know if you have problems clearing the queue & I can give you instructions on how to do that one too.

You need to disconnect the USB cable and set it up wireless on both units:
Since it is plugged into the router, it should already have an IP address.
Un-install the printer from the computers.
Then re-install the printer from the cd or from HP's website. When you get to the point where it ask you is the printer is attached to the computer or is it over the network. Choose over the net work and the software will find the printer IP and finish setting it up wireless.

I hope that the printer is connected via USB. If yes, please do not connect the USB cable before running the software. The software shall prompt you to connect the printer. Once prompted, please connect the USB cable and make sure the printer is powered on.
