Several things but this first.......

  • Slowly pull your fridge/freezer unit out from the wall and then turn the power off.
  • If the condenser coils unit has a cover over it, remove it.
  • Once you have access to the condenser coils, check if they are dirty or covered in frost. If dirty, clean them with a vacuum cleaner and damp cloth. If frosted over, leave your refrigerator turned off until defrosted.
  • Once the condenser coils are clean and/or defrosted, turn your fridge back on and check if it now freezes correctly.

Water dispenser line frozen, items freezing in fridge side. Freezer constantly running/blowing

Your freezer is what actually cools the refrigerator. The cool air enters from that spot on the top left of the freezer. Make sure that isn't blocked. It's sounds like the thermostat that controls the air flow from the freezer to the refrigerator isn't working or the air flow control device is stuck.

Either way if you can, unload and unplug the unit. This will do to things. First it will reset the circuits that control everything and secondly if the air flow control is frozen thawing out the refrigerator and freezer may free it up.

Hi. We've got used ("as is") Electrolux Frigidaire

Not sure if u still need help but the first thing I would do is remove the grills on the front and back and vacuum out the fins on the condenser...dust and grime collects here and will cause the unit to overheat and not cool properly....sometimes an air compressor can be used or air in a can for the hard to reach places.
Tr this and see what happens...good luck

My Kenmore side by side freezer stopped working for a day, all the frozen foods defrosted, then it started working again the next day. I have an appt. for Sears to come, but should I cancel?

The fact it stopped freezing to the point that your food thawed is a definite problem you need to have inspected. But keep in my mind, you apparently have an intermittent issue, and if you give your refrigerator repair service technician as many details about what you noticed in regards to your temperatures as you can, he should be able to pinpoint your problem if he knows what he is doing.

    Fridge not keeping cold..

Check the coils underneath the fridge. Carefully vacuum and brush the coils clean. Usually there is a condenser fan near the compressor and condenser and a evaporator fan in the freezer. Make sure they both are turning.

Refer not cold and freezer frozen in the back but not keeping things frozen in the front. I have shifted the controls from high to low with no apparent change. This is a month long endevor. The fan in the...

Without the specific refrigerator model, it's difficult to say but generally...

    1. If the coils inside the freezer are frozen solid with ice, the air can't flow.
Also, the air needs to flow from the freezer to the refrigerator, but can't because of the ice.

Defrost the freezer completely, if it freezes up again, check #2 or #3.
    2. The refrigerator control module or timer may be bad, and isn't telling the freezer to defrost at the regular interval.

The control module/timer will have to be replaced.
    3. The heater wire in the freezer may be burned out, and would have to be replaced.
A control module could be $35-$100, around $30 for a heater wire, plus labor.
I'm not an appliance repair technician, these are only estimates from previous experiences.

    Best of luck,

I have a fridgidaire freezer that is just cooling not freezing?

some freezers will not freeze in the freezer department if you are low on freon. the motor cannot produce enough freon to keep your freezer frozen when it is to low, however, you might have the temperature up to high where it has locked up the motor and is sending out all that water underneath. i would check your pan under your refrigerator to see if it needs to be dumped and then replace it back.

FREEZER ALARM WILL NOT SHUT OFF

You can try 2 things. Unplug it for about 2-3 minutes and then replug it. It should reset itself. You can silence the alarm or muffle it. Silencing it should be hard. Disconnect it from its source. You may want to find out why it is alarming constantly. Have you called Sears and asked them?

Refrigerator does not cool. Electrolux FRIGIDAIRE we moved into a new construction condo and all appliances were new we liveed in it for 6 weeks frige was fine but loud it is a model GLRT 13TEW4 serial...

If the unit is less than 1 year old call Frigidaire factory service. In the mean time check in the back of the freezer or in air channels for frost build-up. It may indicate a defrost problem or air leak. still best to have factory tech check if in warranty.
