I recently acquired a Sanyo DVW-7200 DVD/VCR. Can I transfer from the VHS player directly to the DVR on ths unit ?

Unfortunately, the Sanyo DVW-7200 is a DVD player only. It is not a DVD writer. You can find the manual here: https://www.manualslib.com/manual/148641/Sanyo-Dvw-7200.html . See page 12 for the recording section.

My vcr section of my sanyo dvw 7200 will not activate

1) clean with vcr play tape, for best solution
2) if the problem persist, you must go to the repair shop tv, this is a complex set of electronic, need special tool for exchange the drum Video in case is defective or worn, roller, sensor, belt. or IC, transistor.
tracing the signal. etc.

The codes that worked for me (I had to use separate codes for VCR and DVD) with a GREENBRIER International Inc. Universal Remote - model number 10064 are:

Sanyo dvw 7200 dvd only plays sound no video

It sounds to me as if you have the connectors (phono plugs aka RCA plugs--Yellow = video; Red = right audi channel; White = left audio channel) switched OR the yellow isn't connected.

Won't turn on video tape stuck halfway inside

Stuck halfway inside could indicate that the actual tape is stuck in the capstan/heads. It may have never fully released from the mechanisms and returned to casing. Basically it ate your tape. You could try taking the cover off the unit and manually and carefully remove jammed tape. Unplug the unit first. Hope this is helpful.

I have a sanyo DVW-7200 of which when I put in a Tape it starts to play and then shuts down the complete vcr/dvd combo unit.

They have the ability to shut off when anything is not right.

Sanyo dvw 7100 is stuck on progressive scan how do I get it off

You may already have the solution, but I ran into this problem too on my 7200. The way to get it out of progressive is press and hold the play button for 5 seconds. Simple - once you know the answer - I was afraid it would involve navigating through menus you couldn't see.
