To reset the drum life end error message on a Pantum M7200FDW printer, follow these steps:

  1. Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  2. Wait a few minutes, then plug the printer back in and turn it on.
  3. Open the front cover and remove the drum unit.
  4. Locate the reset gear on the drum unit.
  5. Use a small tool, such as a paperclip, to turn the reset gear clockwise until it stops.
  6. Reinstall the drum unit and close the front cover.
  7. Turn on the printer and check if the error message has been cleared.
Note: The reset gear location and reset process may vary depending on the specific model of your printer, refer to user guide or manual for more details. If the error message persists, or the reset gear is not working, you may need to replace the drum unit or contact the manufacturer for assistance.

Brother MFC-9440CN Laser Printer is saying toner life end and I just put a new cartridge in.

If you want to reset your Brother MFC 9440N machine so you no longer have the error message: Toner End of Life, do the following:

1. Open the front cover of the 7820N, that is, the cover that allows you to pull out the toner and drum, but don't pull out the drum/toner.
2. Push the button: Options (located on the left of the control pad).
3. Type: *00 on the keypad.

The Brother MFC 9440N should be reset and the Toner End of Life message should disappear. Warning, this may void your warranty and ultimately damage your machine if you are reusing or refilling your cartridges, but you should already know that. Hope this helps.

Toner life end

Try this:

Open the cover, leaving everything inside. Press Options, then *00 to reset the fax.

If that doesn't work:

Open the front cover and remove the cartridge and drum. Turn off the fax. On the right-hand side of the cartridge, there is a round hole that is covered with a clear plastic or glass. Cover that hole up with tape, put the cartridge back in the drum, and put them back into the fax, and turn it back on.
