I want to know how I can use the universal remote control on Finesse tv .I mean, switching it on and channel selection

Most TVs have controls on the side of the TV to operate power, volume and channels, if the power button puts it to standby then use the Chanel up or down to turn it on! Depending on the universal remote being used just select the code relevant to the make of TV you are connecting to!

If you are using a universal do not expect it to even if it programs to have all the functions you need or want or had with the original remote.

Universal remotes are far from UNIVERSAL.

The best argument for an original remote is even if it programs it will just not have all the features needed or wanted that the original had.

may I know if your remote is original or universal remote.

If your remote is universal you have set-up the remote code.Because universal remote is need to set-up every time it loose the battery or power.


If your remote is original and the battery is new.You have to do is replaced the IR sensor of your remote.

SAP, Mono, Stereo, Etc. You should be able to switch this from your remote. Even universal remotes should have this button to adjust sounds. Otherwise you need to go into the TV menu (not the remote) and change it from there. The only way you can change it on those channels is to switch manually. Happens a lot on these older TVs. No worries. Very common.

Tries the channels + or - buttons a couples times on the tv manual controls buttons on the tv.U will get in the input option.This solution work for many tvs don't the input option on their universal remotes,without the original remotes.Ur tv don't know.

The answer here is very simple, there are plenty universal remotes that can control any device and upto 10 devices. You can even record macro's with these, this means by simply pressing 1 button all your devices will switch on, select correct channels and volume and start playign or recording.

Just check Logitech website for Harmony or Philips for Pronto.

You need the original remote controller to be able to switch input modes.Universal ones usually don't work. If you don't have the original remote and can't find it ever or if it is too expensive you can buy an rf modulator ( very cheap) and connect your dvd player, game console etc) to the modulator then connect the modulator to your antenna with a coax cable. This worked for me. It placed the connection to channel 4 and other cable channels are still working,

I have this same TV. The DVD player is either hooked up to the video or s-video input. Go to the Menu (either through the remote or from the front of the TV) and select the Setup option. Go to the part where it asks if you want to use a DVD player. Select yes. Then select Video Input. Exit the Setup. When you hit the DVD button, it will switch to the Video input. The second step is to go into the Menu and select Channel, then go to Video Input Source. From there, select which input you are using for your DVD player, the S-Video or the standard Video (yellow composite cable).

make sure the device is selected, dvd set remote to dvd ,now like tv select tv on the remote then try other features like channel up and down some company remote are also universal too and the device need to be selected even if its a samsung remote.
