Re: I plug my mini keyboard in. It lights up, then the...
If your Flex 500 mini keyboard is lighting up when you plug it in, but then the light goes out and the keyboard does not work, there may be a problem with the keyboard itself or with the device it is connected to.
To troubleshoot this issue, you can try the following steps:
Make sure the keyboard is properly connected to the device. If you are using a USB cable, ensure the cable is securely plugged in at both ends and not damaged.
Check the device's settings to ensure it is configured to use the keyboard. You may need to enable the keyboard in the device's input settings or set it as the default keyboard.
If the keyboard is still not working, try resetting it by disconnecting the power and then reconnecting it. This may clear any temporary glitches or errors that are preventing the keyboard from functioning.
If the problem persists, you may need to contact Flex customer support for assistance. They will be able to provide you with more detailed troubleshooting steps and help you resolve the issue.

To determine wether it is a hardware (keyboard itself) or an OS problem, plug an external keyboard to your laptop (you didn't mention the manufacturer or model of your laptop, but even if it doesn't have a PS2 connector, it has almost for sure an USB connector to plug the keyboard in).
Now, if the external keyboard works OK it means no OS problem.
some of these were not manufactured correctly and wont work with any computer. if it doesn't plug in and work either A. in the bios the USB keyboard is not enabled or B. faulty keyboard thats why they are virtually indestructible not here in the real world! But there are no drivers for these as they come built in. Do any lights light up on it like the caps lock or anything?
