Hobart AM14. It is filling and going into wash cycle properly but rushes through cycle in about 5 seconds total. Pump starts. Tank heats. Float switch seems good.

On most hobart dishwashers, fil is a fault relating to either the fill solenoid or the water counter in the break tank

It seems to have failure on the lever sensor .
check the float , probe and switch assy.

same pump does both, are you certain there is nothing in front of the pump? I would pull the safety hood off and look inside

The wash thermistor is shorted. The float and probe assembly in the wash tank should be replaced.

Assuming that the machine fill cycle works properly and the float is intact, and the heater contactor doesnt pull in:
possible heater contactor malfunction: check for power to coil
High limit snap thermostat may be tripped or damaged ( needs to be manually reset). located in heater connection cover.
Thermistor probe and or wiring to it may be damaged
main control board may not be functioning properly. check output to heater curcuit

Hobart AM-14 will wash and rinse in manual, but not in automatic

It will look to the wash tank float to determine the water level and temperature. If the machine is empty, it will fill first. before letting a cycle start.

How hot is the wash temp?It should be 150-165 degrees.The model is an am14 not an am15?I'm hobart tech and repair these units weekly.Let ne know.

the pump shouldn't turn on when the rinse cycle is on - it uses only fresh water straight from the water line - after the wash cycle is over - wait 5 seconds, then open the doors and see if there is any rinse coming out of the rinse arms.
If only a little is coming out - check the rinse arm spray jets to see if there is debris caught in them -
if no water is coming out - it could be a faulty rinse solenoid

lift **** basket out and lift out samle stailees plate drain and look for stailess probe coming out of side of tank half way down there should be a white pprobably yellowed plastic ball it is a float they get old and fill fith water and don't flote telling maching I have no water keep the water coming. the float is sometimes even missing fell off andf thrown out. 10 bucks and a clip your off and running. call hobart its 110.00 and your off and running.
