How to take apart the HP ze2000 series laptop part 1

Its the little watch battery on the bottom of the laptop under the cover.

Open the back cover of laptop .
Then you can see motherboard chip set you can find 1 round cmos cell on motherboard.
It is round battery cell .

I have found a website with a disassemble guide for HP but I was not able to find your computer's exact model. But, looks to me like you don't have to exert effort in locating the CMOS battery for HP laptops. Check this website http://www.insidemylaptop.com/?s=hp+pavilion+CMOS+battery and look for the type of computer which has a bottom panel that looks the same as your computer and click on where it says "Read the rest of this entry. On the mainboard you will see a big silver 3v button cell. this is the BIOS/CMOS battery. It is held down by a clip, using a screwdriver pull it back and then use your finger to pop it out. Replace it with the same size and voltage button cell.

Removing CMOS battery resets BIOS password. CMOS battery is located right beneath the keyboard. Turn laptop upside down and unscrew the topmost layer at the centre, beneath keyboard. U shud see CMOS battery silver. REmove, hold for abut 1min, reinsert, powerup ang enjoy!!1

You have to take the keyboard off. Gently pry the plastic strip that is between the top of the keyboard and hinges. Unscrew the (2 to 4) screws holding the keyboard down. Slide the keyboard up and out. You should see the battery with 2 wires going to the motherboard. Pull the battery connector off the board, take out the battery and wait for about 30 seconds. Replacing it is easy once you have it open.

The cmos style will be either a large watch type battery about the size of a nickle located in a slot on the mother board, or in a yellow or greenish pouch with two wires leading to a connector, located under a cover on the bottom of the machine, or under the keyboard.
