Kenmore elite 90 series 11028902790 fills w/ water & agitates. On drain cycle it won't drain unless you put drain hose to floor drain position. Drains water but will not start the spin cycle. Help
It is either a bad pump or a bad control. Call Sears. Hard for the homeowner to fix. If not in warranty, ask them how much to fix and then decide if the old one is worth the money. If the machine is 10 years old, go for a new one.

sounds like wash motor is not going . it will fill and control thinks motor is working . then it will drain wash water / ( drain pump is a different motor ) and then refill and so on .. never washes but fills and drains and heats. ( look for leakage under the motor i'm sure you will find some ..

My kenmore 80 series will not fill to wash - it starts to fill with water and then starts draining immediately??
If the washer drains immediately as it attempts to fill,or if it has problems with maintaining the water level after it does fill, this can commonly be caused by what is known as "siphoning". The following link explains:

I have a kenmore elite 3t that fills with water when not in use
sounds like you have a bad fill valve it should only let water into the machine when the fill valve is energized. If water is coming in when unit is not in use change the valve.

I have a Kenmore HE2+ front loader washing machine. Bought from a friend who said it wouldn't drain. I was getting an F33 code when I tried going through a spin cycle. Replace the drain pump. No more error code however the machine still doesn't operate. I have power at the control panel. I'm fully able to select load, cycle, spin functions etc. Door locks. I can hear an audible click coming from the drain pump at the base of the machine. This model has visual indicators as to where it is in the cycle and does not advance past the load garments light. Recommendations anyone? Thanks in advance.
