Some help in the link, but you will likely need a service centre. Spares will be a big problem. Hopefully it will be a split capacitor on the back of the display board.

Hi,

Please disconnect and then reconnect every line that's connected to your Sony device to ensure that you've plugged in everything correctly. Then, you can power cycle your device before checking for the issue. If issue still exists, please double check that the source of the content has no issues and then you can switch to a different temporary display to test whether the first display is defunct.

Thank you.

My microwave stopped working you can input time but when you push start nothing happens it has power and everything just will not start its like the start button does not work

Possibly a bad door switch behind the holes where the latch hooks go into. Usually with the bad switch the timer counts down but nothing runs. It all depends on which switch is bad. Usually 3 switches inside.

The pictures are so bright and very blurred

Hi there:
I suggest check EV setting is on the + side and not neutral (0). Either that or Image Adjustment setting is wrong. Check EV by pressing the +/- button (right side near On/Off switch). Hold EV selector and make sure 0.0 is in the display.

Hope this helps.

I have taken a rarely used Sony EVS2000 out of the closet to transfer some 8MM tapes but after loading the first tape I can't get any motor functions to work. No play, FF, Rewind or eject will function....

sounds like the mechanic is stucked. this happens because due time the used grease is loosing its viscosity. cleaning mechanic and regreasing will help. btw change of old rubber parts are recommended also.

I have a s1500 samson amp I keep blowing speakers, what can I do to prevent this from happing again? The speakers that blown first was two 12'' yorkville 350 w impedance 8 ohm, the next speakers that blown...

Turn the volume down? Feed it cleaner source material?

You don't say under what conditions you're blowing them or if any of the informative indicators are warning you of impending doom. The Samson is capable of cooking just about any home speaker.

The following conditions will cause the Protection LED to go on:

Initial power-up: For approximately five seconds after initial power-up, the

protection circuitry is activated and the speaker output is muted. If everything is

operating normally, you will hear an audible click at the conclusion of this brief

period, as the protection circuitry is deactivated and the S1500 / S2000 begins

delivering signal to connected speakers (at which point you'll hear a click). It is

normal for the Protection LED to fade gradually after the amplifier is powered off.

Overheating: A temperature sensing device in the S1500 / S2000 will cause

the protection circuitry to be activated (and the Protection LED to go on)

whenever the operating temperature of the unit rises above a safe level. To

guard against this problem, make sure the S1500 / S2000 receives adequate

ventilation on all sides and that both the front and rear panels are unobstructed.

Severe overcurrent conditions: This occurs whenever the signal being input to

the S1500 / S2000 rises to a level above 20% THD (Total Harmonic Distortion).

Shorted speaker cables: This will occur if, due to faulty wiring, the hot and

ground signals being output by the S1500 / S2000 short one another.

Output impedance drops below 2 ohms: This can occur if the S1500 / S2000

is connected to inappropriate speaker systems (see the "Setting Up and Using

Your S1500 / S2000" section on page 5 in this manual for more information).

DC voltage detected at speaker output: The most likely cause of this is an

internal failure.

In general, any time the Protection LED lights up (other than during the

approximately five seconds following initial power-up), there is reason to be

concerned. If this occurs, turn the S1500 / S2000 off immediately and carefully

check all wiring and external devices in order to locate and correct the condition

that caused the LED to light up in the first place.

For further assistance, contact your local Samson dealer. If purchased in the

United States, you can call Samson Technical Support (1-800-372-6766)
between 9 AM and 5 PM EST.

Brand new Sony EV-S2000 vcr will not play Hi8 tapes

I'm not sure what you mean by brand new as Sony has not made these for a while. What exactly is the problem? Is the unit NOS (new old stock) and unused but a bit older? If that is the case, the rubber parts inside may need to be changed. Rubber dries out and gets slippery with age and may not have enough friction to allow the unit to work properly.

Please update this with the symptoms.

Thanks,
Dan

Upon power up error code CH is displayed , with second drawer

The steady CH indicates an open right side door. Being that the tray 2 is lit up it could be the side door for the second tray and not the one on the main body. Pull tray 1 and 2 out completely and make sure there is no paper stuck in the machine behind where the tray goes. Double check that both side doors are closing properly and that nothing is broken or missing in that area.
