Re: My kodak verite 55 printer says it is out of paper,...
Check to make sure that the paper tray is loaded correctly and that the paper is not jammed in the printer.
Make sure that the paper guides in the tray are adjusted correctly for the size of paper you are using.
Check to see if the printer driver is up to date. Outdated printer drivers may cause the printer to not be recognized by the computer. You can download the latest driver from the Kodak website.
Check the USB cable that connects the printer to the computer to ensure that it is properly connected and that there is no damage to the cable.
Restart the printer and the computer and try to print again.
If the issue persist, run the printer troubleshooter, it might help you to identify and fix the problem.
If none of the above solutions work, it is possible that the printer's paper sensor is malfunctioning. In this case, contact Kodak customer service for further assistance.
It's important to follow the instructions carefully and if you have any doubts or difficulties, consult the printer's user manual or contact the manufacturer for assistance.

Yes, put it in the box and take it back, and don't look back. A paper jam is the least of it's problems. Wait till you keep track of the ink you use: 4 4X6 color pictures, and 85 black printed pages before you have to replace the inks. I know , I have one, 3 printheads replaced, and recently Kodak send a rebuilt printer. Kodak has big problems with this.
Get an HP printer.
1. Never put XtraLife paper from a printer dock in any inkjet printer. This paper is not made for inkjets. The ink will simply spill all over the place.
2. You can use any paper you wish that is inkjet paper but you must set the appropriate settings through the print manager if the paper is anything but Kodak inkjet photo paper. The 5100, 5300, and 5500 all recognize the backprint on the Kodak paper and automatically optimize the settings. Other brands of paper are not optimized in this fashion and therefore must be done manually through the print manager or software.
