Question about Samsung Televison & Video
Samsung tv un55ku6290f turns on and off over and over by itself once you turn it on. It doesn’t show any picture. It shows like a charcoal color screen and straight to black. A couple seconds passes and it does it again. I changed the battery, I tried the reset of unplugging the power cable for one minute and holding the power button on the tv for 30 seconds and nothing.
This is either a board issue or bad LED backlights, you can trouble shoot the backlights by unhooking the connector going to the main from power board plug the set in and backilghts will stay on if they're working ok, if you find they're good then I'd lean towards a bad main board, there are several ways to test the main but it would involve using a multi-meter. We've seen a lot of main board issues on this model TV.

Power Cycling is normally caused by overheating or a bad power supply board. Take it in for repair. DON'T try and fix it yourself.

Hi,
Please check that your remote's power button isn't stuck in the down position. To be safe, I would take the remote to a location away from the tv and check if the tv continues to cycle between on and off states.
Also, you can remove any accessories attached to the tv before restarting it in order to check whether the tv works normally then.
Thank you.
