Sometimes the vertical ic has a bad ground. Unsolder this and clean the area where the IC was, carefully.[the empty spot on the board where the IC is unsoldered] If you can, purchase and replace the vertical IC. A small price to pay but can prove to be an answer. The other possible problem is a bad picture tube can cause the same problem. Not economically feasible. You have a bad video cable connection or video card has failed. Try unplugging the cable and or relacing it. If not it may be your video card.

blinks - AKB circuit (automatic kine bias), the timer/standby indicator blinks
for about 30 seconds then goes to the self-diagnosis function. Something is
wrong with the video. Check video out, Q705, 732, 761 and other components on
