My pvr 2 shows stby on screen and footprint on tv

Not usually! Switch HDMI around to see if the problem shows up when reversed. Switch Cables from one device to the other and see if it effects any of the two devices. Try to disconnect HDMI from HK device and go directly from TELUS to TV or what ever device is the final apparatus. I trust the last device is a TV or Computer screen?

Hi. We have the Pvr 2 U and none of the above worked. What we eventually figured out was to hold the TV/audio button on booting for about a minute. The TV screen will go black, continue holding the TV/audio button until the the dstv logo comes up. Now use the remote and click menu. Go to advanced options and network settings and wait for it to rescan the channels. Hope this helps

I presume you followed the instructions in the TV manual during hookup and did not hook up with the units powered up and did select the correct input with the remote?

If you have another unit that uses HDMI try a direct hookup with it to see if the HDMI input is working.

HDMI units do not like being hooked up when units involved are powered up and on--seen more than a few where this was the problem and it is worth a try if the Owner Manual does not help you.

Please connect pvr to tv with a 21 pin scart lead to line input 1 or 2 on tv then when play or menu are selected on pvr tv should auto sw to the selected input and return to tv when pvr is sw off.

Unplug the box from the mains and leave fro 15 mins. Unplug the antenna (aerial), plug back into the mains and switch on. It will show 09 error; ignor. Press ók'on the remote. The box will reset and reboot into stby. Plug antenna back in and switch on. With a bit of luck you will be able to do an automatic channel scan (refer to your manual).
Er 01 refers to a failed upgrade, so you may have corrupted firmware, which is not good.

Your box is updated Over the Air (OTA). I'm afraid I don't hold out much hope for an update anytime soon, but you can keep an eye out for it here...

Make sure your box is set to receive OTA updates automatically and it needs to remain on stby.

To control a Dish Network PVR/Satellite, it needs to be set to respond to the default Remote Address (1).

To reset your Dish Network PVR/Satellite to the default Remote Address:

1. Press SYSTEM INFO on the receiver's front panel. The System Information screen displays on the nearby TV and shows the Remote Address.
2. Using the original Dish Network remote, press and hold SAT on your remote control for about three seconds, until all of the mode buttons light up, and then release SAT.
3. Using the NUMBER PAD, press the 1 button
4. Press POUND (#). If you entered the address correctly, SAT will flash three times.
5. Press RECORD. Make sure the Remote Address you see on the System Information screen is 1.
6. Press the SELECT button on the front panel to close the System Information screen.
7. Your Harmony remote should now control your Dish Network PVR/Satellite box

NOTE: Dish Network PVR/Satellite receivers sometimes have two tuners, allowing them to be used in more than one room on different TVs. Harmony remotes can only control a Dish Network receiver's main tuner while still in the same room with direct line of sight to the device.
