Seiki SE42FYT turns off after logo appears across screen

I have a seiki SE42fyt tv. the standby button is red so i would think there is power going to the main board. When i turn the tv on the button turns to blue and the seiki logo comes across the tv and then the tv turns off. I have tried to unplug the tv and wait and i have tried holding the power button for 30 seconds. prior to this i had opened youtube and the tv froze. It would not power off so i had to unplug the tv. When I had plugged it back in, this had started.

Hi,

Please disconnect all accessories. Then turn on your tv again. Please make sure that neither the power button on the tv or that on your remote is stuck because this could lead to the issues that you've mentioned. Otherwise, you'd need to factory reset your tv.

Thank you.

Testimonial: "how do you do a factory reset on the tv? I can't get to the menu at all as the tv turns off right after the seiki logo comes on."

The remote control for my Seiki SE42FYT Led T.V. will only turn on T.V. - nothing else.

Replace the batteries with fresh ones. Check that the buttons aren't sticking. Replacement remotes for this set can be obtained on Amazon or Best Buy, but the other possibility is a fault with the television IR Sensor or the board rather than the remote.

I am trying to connect my Nintendo Entertainment System to my Seiki TV, but it's not working.

It's possible that the connection between your Nintendo Entertainment System and Seiki TV isn't properly set up. Here are some steps you can try:
  1. Ensure that your Nintendo Entertainment System is properly connected to your Seiki TV. You can use the red and white AV jack to connect the audio cables, and the yellow jack to connect the video cable.
  2. Once you've made sure that everything is connected properly, turn on both your Nintendo Entertainment System and Seiki TV.
  3. On your Seiki TV, go to the "Input" or "Source" button on your remote control and select "AV" or "Composite" as the input source.
  4. If your screen still flashes black and blue, try unplugging and plugging in the cables again, making sure that they are securely connected to both your Nintendo Entertainment System and Seiki TV.
  5. If you're still having trouble, try using a different set of AV cables, as the cables may be damaged.
If none of these steps work, it's possible that either your Nintendo Entertainment System or Seiki TV is not working properly. You may need to seek further technical assistance to diagnose and fix the problem.

Can I use wireless headphones with my Seiki TV SE42FYT. If so, what kind must I buy and how do I set it up.

You can buy any RF wireless headphones and connect that directly to your tv (guaranteed way)
But if its a smart tv some allow you to link up Bluetooth to it. If you need to you can purchase a bluetooth transmitter hook that up to your tv then pair them up.

My seiki tv shut off while i was watching it and it wont turn back on.... the red standby light and front panel lights work so the tv is getting power however it will not turn on with the remote or the...

Someone is going to have to open it and examine the power supply board in the set first for signs of damage or puffed up caps and then check for various voltages, This set is likely to be a problem for parts as all brands can be as they only sell circuit boards, the question becomes which board is bad?
