Hi,

Please remove any facades on the microwave first. This should expose the screws the keep the door on the microwave. Once you remove the door then you can achieve your goal.

You might also call kitchenaid to get schematics for the microwave to help you when removing the facades.

Thank you.

Samsung French door fridge freezer handle came loose. The ***** on the right side fell into the back of the handle attachment so it won't go flush with the fridge.

Hello Marilyn;

My name is Peter. I am a retired field service refrigeration technician.

You did not provide a model number which is located on a label on the inside liner of your fresh food section.

Usually the door handles are held on in one of two ways.

1.) Inspect the sides of the door handles. Are there small allen wrench screws - tighten them.

2.) Ok, no screws on the side. There are mounting brackets screwed onto the door. At times the screws become loose. Use a little muscle and pull the handle up hard to release from the bracket. Tighten the screws on the bracket to the door. Position the handle back on the bracket and pull the handle down hard until secure.

How do I tighten door handle on whirlpool fridge how do I get to the screws model gb2fhdwq02

Hello Tim;

My name is Peter. I am a retired field service refrigeration technician.

You have one of two door attachments:

1.) There are two 3/32" K set screws (Allen Head) at the top and bottom of each handle. Back off these screws until the handle comes off. The is a stud with a screw - tighten and reattach the handle.

2.) There are two brackets mounted to each refrigerator door. One at the top and one at the bottom. At the top of each bracket is a oversize hole. On the back of the handle there are two screws. These screws fit into the oversize hole. Then you push down into a slot to secure the handle. To remove the handle you push up on the handle until the door handle screws are into the oversize holes.
The screws on the door bracket often become loose. Tighten these screws. Sometimes the mounting screws on the door handle become loose as well.
Be careful, if you tighten everything up too much you will not be able to remount the door handle. Adjust the screws for a tight fix

I recently bought a samsung side by side refridgerator i accidentally scratch my handles, and are deep scratches as i can see the white material beneath the metallic coding.

Hello Dimakatso;

My Name is Peter. I am a retired field service refrigeration technician.
I assume you wish to remove the handles to replace them.
These handles are usually attached to the doors in one of two ways:
1.) There are two 3/32" Hex key screws, one at the top and one at bottom of each handle. Unscrew ( Back off) the screw until the Handle comes off. It is not necessary to completely remove the screw.
2.) There two brackets mounted on each refrigerator door. One at the top & one at the top and one bottom of each handle. There are two screws on the handle, one at the top and one at the bottom. These screw fit into a oversize hole on the bracket. There is a slot below the oversize hole that you push the screws on the back of the handle down into. So, to remove the handle pull up on the handle. You will need some muscle to pull the handle up.
Over time handles with the mounting bracket on the door become loose. You have to remove the handle (pull up) and tighten the bracket mounting screws on the door. Put the handle back on and push down to lock.

Bottom door handle loose

There is a 3/32" allen set screw on the under side of the handle. Just tighten the set screw and your problem should be resolved.

I have a kitchenaid KBLS19KTSS 01 bottom freezer, and the freezer handle has come off on one side. do I need to disassemble the door to reattach it? Or, do the small screws on the bottom of the handle...

It looks like your handle is the style that slips over a screw that is threaded into the face of the door...
According to your owner's manual you most likely just tighten the small allen head screws to secure it. It lists the screw size as 3/32. You should have been left the allen head with your paperwork when you bought it.

Loose freezer door handle

There is a "set screw" on the underside of the posts that connect the handle to the mounting posts on the face of the door of my Jenn-Air bottom freezer. Use an Allen wrench to loosen the set crew, which is very small (my Jenn-Air requires a 3/32" Allen wrench), and then tighten the bolt on the mounting post on the face of the freezer door. Position the handle over the post, then tighten the set screws with the Allen wrench. Cynthia

Door handle loose on 10656542400 kenmore

I got it!!! Okay, the most common problem is the fridge handle at the top is coming loose from the mere fact that the fridge gets opened more than the freezer and people grasp the handle higher than lower. Okay, open the door until you can look at the handle sideways where it attaches to the door. What is happening is the screw that slides into the bracket is simply backing out. Try lifting the handle straight up, only about an inch plus. The bracket is the same on the bottom of the handle as the top. If you cannot get the handle to lift, get a very slim standard screwdriver and push the retaining clip down (away from the handle) so the screw head can get passed it. You may have to push the retaining clip pretty good to get it down. When you have it pushed away from the screw head, lift the handle and it should pop up. Take the handle away from the door and tighten the screw. The screw head takes a torques screw head (star shaped, like a philips but different) Tighten it until it stops the just realign the TWO screw heads into the upper and lower bracket and slide the handle down gently. No problem! You can do it!

Door Handle Loose and tightening with allen wrench does NOT work ...

Just did this on mine today. Use an allen wrench to back off both the upper and lower set screws (Note: you do not need to back them all the way out). The handle will then easily pull away from the door. With a 1/4" socket, tighten the screws holding the upper and lower lugs on the door. Place the handle back on and tighten the upper and lower set screws.
