I have a slyvania 42" plasma tv model number 6842pf, it will not turn on, keeps flashing between standby and power on. How do I fix the problem, or can it be fixed?

It can be fixed BUT you can go to wal-mart here in Birmingham it is on sale 55inch for 288 dollars or I have found good ones at a thrift store for a cheap price and was a good one Good Luck Mike L.

These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit stage inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power led, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating, to many popular brand TVs and other devices. Viewing it in "Mosaic" will make surf easy.

I have 42" ,Sansui plasma tv .model number Sty 0342 . when i switch it on , the power led chages from red to blue, then suddenly goes red again .i've changed the power board but it keeps doing the same...

I have sansui television 42"model number STY0342, plasma 3D.when l turn it on sometimes it takes time to switch on after turning it on.it will change the standby light to blue.what might be the problem.

42 " panosonic plasma model th-42px6ou keeps

There is an energy save setting on your controls. Turn that off if you don't want tv to keep turning off while you are changing inputs. Hope this helps.

You might have a bad B board. What's worse is that the power switch is connected to the Q board which works in conjunction with the B board. Replace B board, You can send your B board for repair to a company called modus link pts. They are the largest part supplier of after market parts and repair.

Whilst on holiday my plasma was switched off for three weeks now it keeps sswitching off after a couplee of minutes with the standby light andd the light nextto it flashing

Turn OFF unplugged the cords,plugg agin and turn ON.If your problem persist check the power supply main bord.

Guess what you may have hit the nail on the head. Plasma TV used a balast type power system for the backlighting and that is what you are hearing. I would suggest getting this set looked at to see if the plasma excitor needs to be replaced (it may have another name in this brand of set).

True GDM-12EM-LD Lights not coming on and display not showing USE was running just fine, now the fluorescent light won't turn on and the display board just has 3 dashes across it. If I hit one of the setting button on the display some red lights will blink and fridge light turns on, but then it just goes back to the three dashes and the light turns back off. Seems to still be cooling
