I have Aiwa CX-NA508. Tape player 1 just ate my cassette and the 2nd tape player doesn't play at all.. Is the 2nd player supposed to play back cassette tapes or is it just for dubbing tapes?

Both players should play a tape. In fact the player can be set up so when tape player 1 finishes the tape, player 2 will kick on to play the other tape by itself. Only one is the recorder to dub another tape or record CD to tape.

My aiwa dual deck player recorder keeps shutting off when playing I don't know the problem

Is it happening to both decks? Generally, it's usually the "take-up" drive belt. They all tend to stretch and dry out over time, so a complete belt renewal could restore proper function.

I cannot finalize my CD's on my Aiwa XC-RW700 Dual CD recorder might you know the problem? when I push the finalization button in blinks for a few seconds like it's going to finalize but...

On page 18 of >>>> the manual <<<< it says to press the " > " key within 3 seconds after "Finalize". You wouldn't want a careless button push to just run off and close out the disc, would you?

Why doesn't unit power up when power button is pushed? Checked outlet and is plugged in.

Take the cover off the unit to look at the fuse...it looks like a little glass tube and will be near the power cord input....you should see a little wire element inside that must be all the way across the tube, otherwise it is bad and will need to be replaced....these fuses are available from places like Radio Shack....If the fuse is good then there is probably a problem in the power supply circuit that will need to be troubleshooted by a service tech

In dubbing mode (only), L and R channels on new CD are reversed from original.

since the recording is done internally in the device, there is no question of reverse wiring, and it puts your problem a little bit on the funny side... some devices do have a "reverse" option that does exactly what you're describing, if this problem was not always present it makes it more likely that you mistakenly chose that option. if you had this problem from the get go, and/or can't find any "reverse" option(or anything that might be its equivalent), I suggest you take the recorder back to the shop. If you're no longer under warranty I suggest taking it to a certified service person to have the problem evaluated, and get an estimate on repair. good luck with it
