Fisher and Paykel MW511 Washing Machine won't start

Fisher and Paykel MW511 Washing Machine. Some buttons work on the display panel . Others don't ==> Smart Touch Cycles, Spin Speed, and most importantly Start/Pause (you can press them but nothing happens except a delayed click noise).

If you can get to the control panel and the buttons, check the connectors on the edge of the boards. You are probably going to need a service call. Control boards are expensive, so they need correct diagnosis, plus you get warranty on the repair.

Testimonial: "Hi Andrew, already had a look at the control board. All clean and looking fine. The machine won't do a diagnostic test. When you turn on the machine it lights up and powers up ok. Just some buttons don't work and the Start/Pause button is doing nothing."

That's a shame. It sounds like control board failure, especially if it is behind the buttons.

Hi,

Please power cycle your washing machine by unplugging your machine for 1 minute before plugging it in again.

If this issue reoccurs , then please check that there are no debris at the bottom of the washer. And you can double check whether the washer door is being shut properly.

Thank you.

Testimonial: "Tried. No change."

Fisher and paykel mw511 pride the discharge water pump runs all the time the machine is plugged into the wall even when the power button on the machine is off

That means that power is being applied to the drain pump when it shouldn't be. There is only one reason for that, a fault in the main control board. You will have to replace the main board.

Washing Machine F&P MW511. Washed, then rinsed using the fabric softener, partially spun then stopped. Will not turn on at all now (no power)

Hmmmmm - I think you may actually have a faulty controller module - without a working module it generally means no power on etc for Smartdrive washers..
