Prior to that I had the black screen of *****. I can hear the power turning on but no picture coming up. I can hear the TV power cycle then the 3 red blinking light comes on. I have done the suggested reboot provided by Sony. What could be the problem?

Please use your remote to turn up the brightness on the screen as someone might have accidentally turned it down.
or you can use your tv support page/download page to check for updates on your tv. Please use your manual to find the specific reference for how to make updates to your tv. If that does not work, then you will need to perform a factory reset on your tv.
