Is There A Fuse In My Dyson? Yes, there are 2 fuses in your Dyson vacuum that you should know about. The first is a standard electrical fuse that prevents damage from faults like short circuits and power surges. The second is a thermal fuse that prevents the vacuum motor from overheating and damaging the appliance.

Sweeper stopped after using wand

Hi there, it's Jack at Dyson.
Most of our vacuums include a thermal cut out, which shuts the machine off if it starts to overheat. Usually this will be because the filter needs a wash, or because there's a blockage in the machine. From what you've described it sounds like there's a blockage in the hose, wand or duct.
To resolve this, please follow the steps shown in our online Support guide: http://content.dyson.com/support/help.asp?article=954&product=DC17-ANIMAL
It's important to wash your machine's filter at least once every 3-6 months, as shown in the video above. Use cold water without detergent, and allow at least 24 hours for it to dry completely before replacing it.

you can go to: http://www.dyson.com/support/help.asp?article=51&product=DC22-MOTORHEAD-US, this a section for troubleshooting for dyson.
You must clena any clogged from hose, bag.or blockage, Clean the filter. In most time, the machine has a thermic switch or thermal fuse, Inspect or test and replace or reset.

Although your cleaner will no longer be under its original 2 year warranty, the new motor assembly would be covered by a 12 month warranty if you purchased it directly from Dyson. As long as the cleaner has been used in accordance with the terms and conditions described in the manual, we should be able to replace this for you.
